Asanagi has been changing lately. He wanted to make some "colorful" content with Kaya from Blue Archive a year or so back but wouldn't do it cause he was holding out for the Blue Archive story to redeem Kaya's character lol.

From what I remember of previously reading the manga, the orc learns: 1) to get consent first, 2) to take "no" for an answer, 3) to not instantly proposition women for sex when first meeting them, 4) to bathe, 5) to wear decent/fashionable clothes, 5) to wear perfume/deodorant.

if u think about it, a normal mangaka can be famous bc of the story or the drawings, but an H artist can only be famous with the drawings xd, so its understandable why H artists draw so fkin good
I mean it worked for Kirby with the director Shinya Kumazaki just having art of eldritch entities and still pull up the series we know as Kirby and its surprisingly disturbing lore some even are just out in the open for a game that most people would associate for kids

Tbh, fuck this people who thinks an author owes to them more of a story they like, its not like writing something good is the easiest thing in the world, everything affects the storytelling if you are not up to do it, so let the authors do another story they feel compelled to tell at their time. I'm sure if he was forced to do more Mushoku Tensei at a time he doesnt want to do, it would derail into something awful and the people who forced him into that position would also complain.

@@francogaray2649 have only read the light novels so maybe this isn’t covered in the manga, but the fairies don’t have male and female genders and are too small to breed with other species anyway. But Zell does love Bash in their own way.
A correction: Asanagi did illustrations for LNs, manga adaptation is done by a different artist.
I only read LN version, and while it is indeed not as groundbreaking as MT (and it doesn't need to, it's a freaking comedy), it still provides a lot to think about, like parallels between orc society and some real-life closed male-dominated communities like military and how that culture warps the worldview of individuals. It also delves rather deep into juicy "how can we make half-assed porn game setting work".
As someone who's been reading ahead in the Light Novels Orc Eroica series really deserves the title of Berserk successor

it's not really about Bash trying to be "better person" as he doesn't seen old ways of his people as something wrong, but he follow rules and rules changed. Whether new rules are where orcs have to get consent before having their way with female are better or worse than before is irrelevant to Bash.
As for story in general, I think it really explore difference in values of various fictive races and post war relationships and even how biological differences can affect relationships between different species (even if it doesn't try to be serious dramatic story per se). It's good read.

I have only read the first four light novels, not the manga, but give it a chance. It’s something completely different from MT - more of a waifu of the week comedy with a straight man protagonist. I wouldn’t say it’s deep, but it becomes more obvious with each volume that the author has put thought into the world and is taking his time to reveal pieces of lore.
And the artist is Asanagi. This is amazing.

I know this series a manga CZcamsr did a storytelling of it I think 3 months ago I had no idea it was written by the mushoku tensei author awesome!
I believe the author made a statement saying that this novel was/is a test run for what the sequel of mushoku tensei would be like, I think it was something about touching upon different genres that he didn't feel confident writing about. now I could very well be wrong about all this but I swear I heard something like this at some point feel free to correct me!
Pretty sure he wants to basically make the 2nd series of MT a more pure fantasy vibe. No more isekai tropes other than trying to return nanahoshi back to her world. Because the POV will switch from someone isekai’d (Rudy) to one or more of his children, who will be native to the world.

No it comedy, the MC it "order it order" type of guy that he very serious facing his problem with out breaking rule and making all the misunderstand stuff when he travel. The comedy it top tier for my taste a lot of joke that you rarely saw lol

i binged the 1st and 2nd volume and they were good the third one was not as good as the first two but was still pretty good

I read the first novel volume and found it rather engaging. It is an exploration of how reality conflicts with biases and expectations. Both those held by others and those which are internalized. Although he is perceived as the ideal orc warrior, Bash falls short of such a lofty standard. His fear of humiliation and rejection motivate him to find a bride. Traditional orc culture clashing with the new societal norm complicates his search. And everyone constantly misinterprets his words and actions according to their own prejudices.
I mean, I like it, it's pretty refreshing to see an author just doing what he wants

I've read the Manga and it feels like one of those comedy where the people talking to each other completely misunderstands the intentions of one another
8:20 As a hobby writer I doubt, that's true.
Obviously I can't write two stories at once. But maybe not even this is true. I basically work on dozens of stories at once right now. (for example this night I write two scenes for story A, next night I write one scene for story B and C each, next night I proofread and improve one of the scenes of story A and one of stroy C, etc.)
But often it's not like I have a choice between working on my main story A and my new story B. The choice often is writing story B or writing nothing. Sometimes I'm just really motivated, so I get an idea and write it. If I wasn't that motivated, I might not have been interested in writing at all that day.
I came up with some rules which also force me to come back to old stories once in a while, even if I'm not motivated. The motivation might come back when I get over the hurdle I was stuck with.
It’s funny hearing you talk about the orc culture & how you actually said “it doesn’t act like that’s a good thing” haha. I’ve been buying a manga called “Wicked Trapper”, and I read a review online and the person was complaining about the frape scenes, and I’ll tell you the frape is being committed by a monster. It’s a brutal world with demons and monsters and this person writing the review thinks that it’s strange that a monster would do that.
So I often wonder what’s wrong with these people? They seem to be incapable of understanding what life would actually be like in a world like this, they seem to believe these monsters would have 2024 progressive views, it’s actually kind of hilarious.
