Way to take a franchise about realistic consequences of corporate overreach into a place of teenage power-fantasy, and they couldn’t even do that right. Trading side missions about tracking human traffickers and serial killers with driving fucking Uber in SF. What a joke Watch_Dogs 2 was.
IMO, 2 looks graphically very good for when it was made and still stands up today, has a decent environment with stuff to do while you play the campaign. Missions are fun and combat feels more diverse than, drive here, takeout these guys, steal car, chase down enemies, etc. because the main characters are hackers and the environment is a smart city which u have the ability to manipulate in different ways and while some of the actual missions can seem repetitive I felt like the devs supplied enough gadgets to mix up your experiences. It feels similar to gta but has more of a purpose/ hero’s journey vibe. It’s lighthearted with serious overtones and if you haven’t played I would recommend. If you enjoy the things in 2 enough and the story interests you then go back and play 1 afterwards. You’ll prob be able to appreciate it more that way. However once you do that, lies the horrible watch dogs 3. Don’t get me wrong, the game features some really great improvements to the franchise that would’ve been great if implemented into the right environment and campaign.. however that’s not the case watch dogs 3 downright sucks in more ways than it is good. If you come to a point where you want to play it, don’t. Graphics are shit, frame rate drops constantly, everything is repetitive. Characters are boring, environments lifeless and dull, driving is bad, it’s similar in nature to how mafia 1 & 2 are awesome and 3 sucks. Even tho 3 added some cool new mechanics and dynamics it was below the quality of experience that it’s predecessors brought to us.

As a pro Parkourer. I think Sleeping dogs shouldn't take that big of a jump without Rolling! But watch dogs 2 does it for me, realistic moves. And Rolls! With Special flips which are nice.
