- Here is a unique item for you! This is a complete train set from the 40's! How cool is that. I enjoy checking out these vintage items and showing them to you on video. This one was one that I really wanted to learn about and set-up. I have always wanted to try these older sets. I have had a bunch in my collection, but they were never complete and I had to sell them as parts and or just the trains. It was really cool seeing how the old owner cherished this set and kept all of the paperwork including the original receipt. That is something you rarely find. The original owner listed when they added items to the train and also how to set it up each year by keeping track of the amount of track and how it all was put away in the box. It worked great! The only non original item was the transformer. The Lionel transformer worked great and was probably a better quality than the MARX. By the way Mrs. LPS was my train engineer while I was talking. She did a great job running the train and had a lot of fun!

My grandfather had an old trainset similar to this! He was also a woodworker so we had all kinds of structures to make everything look like a little town!
But sadly when myself and my cousins hit teen years he stopped adding to it and then one of my bonehead cousins broke a bunch of things from it and probably sold the rest of it. 😕
Definitely something I would love to have still.
