Doesn't surprise me to say the least, you love your DRZ-400. If you can offer an advice to a fellow tall ogre as an experienced rider. I've been seriously thinking about a kawasaki vulcan S, trying out a chopper, mostly since we're the same height I'm afraid about the pressure on lumbar spine and general comfort. Can you offer any input based on your experience? Safe riding bro.
Congratulations! Get a set of dirt bike wheels to swap and it will almost be like having 2 different bikes. I wonder how this, with dirt bike tires, compares with the dual sport model. Hopefully you'll be able to let us know. Good thing about a DRZ is no matter how old it gets, you can always make it look just like a brand new one! That's a clean looking 18 year old bike.
There's a 400SM near me going for $1200 Canadian, I'm seriously considering it. Even if it needs a full rebuild it would still be less than half the average price around here.
I'm glad you have a bike. You got a great deal. Please share your mods
Great stuff! Always keen on a build series 😁🙏

As long as it’s whole and in OK condition, buy it! Make sure you really look over the frame and subframe to make sure nothing is bent or broken.
Picked up my 2003 DRZ-S for $2300 back in December
That’s crazy! Cheaper than I bought my old one in 2017!
