  • I brought the kitchen sink out into to the garden and show how easy it is to make this easy project yourself.
I love questions and comments so fire them at me, especially if you are doing this or a similar project.
Often, we pull vegetables from the garden and wash the soil from them in the kitchen sink.
Now that step is done in the garden directly.
Repurposing this old kitchen sink was a weekend project with inexpensive materials, a lot of fun and a great addition to our new water tank.
    • Water Supply for the W...
This sink station is solid but movable. Has a handy shelf. Connects direct onto your garden hose. The waste water can be directed into a bucket or out the back.
I posted this project on my social media and there has been considerable interest in it. Also as a as a fish cleaning station.
We were given this sink from a friend who renovated their kitchen. But if you want one yourself, these sinks are readily available from demolition and salvage yards for around $50.
I would give you the plans but as you can see, the construction is so simple that the video speaks for itself. Also this design requires you to measure the sink and cut the timber to suit so that sort of makes any plan obsolete.
That slap stick section in the middle was not staged. I would recommend two people for this step LOL.
The only negative part is the cost of the wood preserver and maybe the proximity of this to food.
If you are concerned then use untreated timber like cedar.
    Music
Josh Pan - Your music made this video and Guitar House is my all-time Favorite,
Ofshane - who hoo love that sound - I will use Caballero again for sure thanks.
Wayne Jones - Classic Slapstick mate - love it. This music was clearly made for this scene.

Having seen this put into use on many a restoration now I'd say it was a good investment!

Thanks and Good luck, let me know if you want any advice on any step and let me know how you go. I tried to go the cheapest easiest route and it turned out really solid. The hardest step would be working out the size of the top box to fit the sink, then assuming your saw can make square cuts, it is just like LEGO !

Hallo Matthew, at first i thought the sink will be part of an upcoming outdoorkitchen project, but than i read your answer to the tiger carpenter. The timber preserver would not be my first choice, beeswax or linsseedoil are also waterprotectiv and more naturally, but so it last even longer... i wish you all the best for your sinus operation and looking forward for next content. stay safe and heathy. Cu Big-T

Hi Big T, Thankyou for your friendship. I will probably do another short video like a trailer or shop tour next , then come back stronger than ever. I had a break in March and another one around September and since then have been putting out a video at least once a week. You might have noticed that I sounded blocked up like a had a cold in a lot of recent videos. When I come back I will hopefully be able to breathe better and that will be reflected in my energy levels and video quality all around. Matt

Interesting video! What is that black adapter for your water supply to attach the hose?

i took the tap to the hardware store and dug through the plumbing parts bins till i found something that fit. I am sure if you asked a plumber they could recommend a single adaptor maybe? it will ultimately depend on your tap what adaptor you need.
