No. The meteor wasn’t a physical prop. Martin Smith started that misconception with his video years ago. What it was a lighting effect (that’s still there) where an orange trail light goes across the tree line above your head and then an impact with a huge pool of smoke followed by a white flash.
If you are referring to Dr. Marsh at the beginning, that was not a safety spiel. That was intentionally misleading because the following audio is Dr. Seeker telling her its too late to have the tour terminated.
