AGL Discs fandom is a true family.
Happy to say I throw a ton of AGL and Josh Jones is exactly the man you see here. Honest and friendly and makes you feel like family right away. Love AGL and Josh himself. Happy to represent them forever and ever.
This interview is awesome! AGL is doing it right! The Magnolias, Locusts, and Douglas Firs would fight for a spot in any players bag
He doesn't pay himself? What a guy. Just a genuine article who cares about growing the sport sustainably.
Such a great interview!
Been throwing AGL for a bit.
First got introduced to AGL about around 2018 because Amy Lewis is close to where I live, some folks got Madrones, Manzanitas, and a Cypress. Later on in 2020, I had my first art piece to be stamped on discs stamped on Woodland Glow Magnolias. That was when AGL was still stamped by Gateway before Josh got his big stamper. I've had three of my artworks stamped on AGL so far, and also going on my third year of representing Above Ground Level Discs as a part of the team. Some really cool humans working together to both plant, and throw trees. I've been bagging and throwing a majority of AGL, currently bagging full AGL. The Locust has been an absolute favorite for a great deal of air shots, I still like to bag OG Locusts as they altered the mould recently, and still love the new change as well. The Money Tree has been seeing a lot of airtime in my bag as well. Their putter moulds are fantastic. I like to putt with Ponderosas, and Madrones in different ways. The Baobab is one of my most favorite when it comes to flicks, rollers, and backhands when I need something super stable and sits. The Dogwood is reminiscent of a Baobab Madrone hybrid with a wide diameter, great for if you need a super stable, yet slow approach. Or a smooth slow flick.
If you would like a discount code to save 10% on your orders at AGL to try them out, or otherwise.
Use the code ALIENGREENLIFE and you'll save 10% at agldiscs.com when you check out. Remember that you can check the box for the seeds of the respective trees you order, and there are a lot of mini stamp options you can add to your discs.
Another option is to also send in your own discs to get stamped, because they will do that.
Lots of cool apparel and other goodies are there as well to check out.
josh seems like a really cool guy!
I love Gateway. I putt with a voodoo. Bag various other molds at any given time.
I'm glad to hear some people talking about the PDGA rules being so vague. Because if they go through Pro's bags before tournaments making discs illegal, I think we could literally see professional players quit playing. I could honestly see a lot of people stop playing all together. I personally have no reason to sign up for the PDGA if all I want to do is have fun and especially if all they do is make stupid rules every year that they just have to reverse the next year.
Would love to hear a roundtable about the obscure pdga rules. I got called out for having a sticker with my name and phone number on the bottom of my disc before.
Cha-cha-cha-Chia! How about a chia disc?
should do an agl and trashpanda collab
I have some madrones with the trash panda logos on them .🥏⛓️
