What’s the In the line of fire movie about?
In the early 1990s, Frank Horrigan (Clint Eastwood), an agent of the Secret Service, a U.S. government unit assigned to protect the President of the United States, was at the end of his career. Present in Dallas on November 22, 1963, Horrigan still blames himself for not having been able to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy while he was part of the team protecting him. When the killer Mitch Leary (John Malkovich) decided to attack the current president, planning to assassinate him while he was running for re-election and making numerous public appearances across the country, Horrigan, still in office, took the matter to heart. Despite his advanced age, he asked to return to the Presidential Protective Detail, where he began a relationship with his colleague Agent Lilly Raines (Rene Russo). A morbid game is then set up between the killer and the bodyguard.

Clint Eastwood, John Malkovich and the director Wolgang Petersen made this movie a very memorable thriller classic. Screenplay is also very good.
don't forget Ennio Morricone's phenomenal score.
@@mr.adventure0142 Yes, of course. That was a very good score.
*WOLFGANG
Clint Eastwood still can punch 👊🏾💥
I want a version of this where the elevator stops on the way down for another hotel guest.
And I want a version of this without a swearing cut to this masterpiece of a scene! Woefully annoying!

@@c.c8752 oh no. Sheesh. Probably did. My bad
Disagree. I imagine my own version of what you’re describing, but I think it only presents a situation for light comedy, which would detract from the dramatic climax. This movie did have light comedy peppering throughout the movie (e.g. Clint lamenting ‘putting all that *stuff* back on’ following the brief romance scene). It would also (certainly) be an action movie cliche. “Going down?” “Sorry. Out of service.” The scene was best played as sullen victory over the villain.
Unless…Clint just stumbles off the elevator, out of breath, without saying anything, not looking at the other hotel patrons waiting to board.
clint eastwood is a legend
He died sadly
A superb classic scene.
When the assain fell I was like oh yea
Absolutely amazing movie
Well at least he had integrity
Absolutely amazing and good movie
Amazing how he flips over the railing and then grabs onto the base.
Gymnast 😊
He's former CIA
When i first saw this I half thought he was going to get up and escape lol
What, not even a “See you in Hell, Frank”? 🤔
Clint Eastwood has had some memorable villains played by Malcovich,Gene Hackman, and Andy Robinson.
Along with Lee Van Cleef, Bill McKinney, Geoffrey Lewis and John Russell among others in his action films and westerns.
@@scottknode898 And don't forget "The Ugly" Eli Wallach.
Ahhh...they don't make movies like that anymore.... its good to watch reruns....
Clint Eastwood Is From Myrtleford!

Clint Eastwood is the coolest badass 😎
He needs to be in the next expendables
Yep but, he supported Trump so now he's hated and, shunned by Hollywood. ......
@@nyc9993 Great Americans like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood are Republicans, they're the salt of the earth people, as wholesome as apple pie. Hollywood can keep their Jussie Smolletts and Harvey Weinsteins type. We'll take Dirty Harry 💪🇺🇲
John Wayne hated Clint Eastwood. He realized that Clint was stealing his thunder, and didn't like that Clint's characters were dark and as violent as the bad guys. Also Wayne had more than a few racist opinions in real life. As for Weinstein, he was a rapist, and Smollett was a liar, and a small-time TV actor. Give me a couple of movie stars to compare like Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster, both Hollywood liberals and lifelong Democrats. How's that for name-dropping, pilgrim??
@globetrotter1986 , You might want to look online regarding Wayne's character. Your opinion may change about him.

Yeah that's some strong fucking glass
Yes, I thought so too. From that height he should have gone through like a bullet.
GREAT PIC! and Renee Russo is HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
Really? Censoring the curse words... What a pathetic time we are living in.
"Nyet! ... Pay heem. ... Pay dat mon hee's mahney."
Such a great movie and such a great scene. But- watch it again and watch John Malkovich's ears when he speaks. They flatten against his head a bit. Once I've seen it I can't NOT see it.
And John malkovich played a great role as the assassin
How could old Frank have overpowered much younger Booth?
Was Booth injured by gunfire?
Did not break through the glass? Laughable.
First arm out, then more in.
Memorable,en poner a la policía como deficiente ante el bizco delincuente jajaja
