When i was in 8th grade, i first saw the season 1 of Chihayafuru. It was my second anime ever. (later i came to know its an underrated anime) I saw Arata and Chihaya and fell in love with them. The next day, I met a boy; a newcomer to my school, sat behind me. I went home that day, dazed. I was sure he was my Arata, even though he barely smiled at me and just listened to me blabber. He left school end of that year and i dropped the idea and started focusing on finding a dream like Chihaya taught me. Fast forward to 4 years later, that shy boy is now my boyfriend, and we have been in long distance relationship for 3 years now :) We are meeting soon in a few months after corona :D I will forever be a ChihayaXArata shipper : I owe them my dreams, my love, everything ^.^

Arata would be there beside just like Taichi if his grandfather didn't force him to move away and if he wasn't poor. Only the rich and handsome guys get the girls. The only nerd to get the girl is Arima Kousei. Even in that example, Kousei was the one that inspired Kaori to play an instrument, to live with passion which is what Arata did Chihaya. It's her literal goal and meaning of life, karuta. Sumire and Taichi both play karuta to win the ones they love. Arata and Chihaya plays because it's their true passion and meaning in life Taichi only played karuta because Chihaya loved it. Just like Sumire played karuta just to be in the same club and be with Taichi more. Chihaya and Arata did it because they had real passion. I would want to marry Taichi because he's just a simp but Chihaya and Arata makes more sense to me Manga ending really makes no sense after the obvious build up to Arata and Chihaya. People are all saying that Chihaya mistakingly mixed up admiration and love but I just don’t see that. She thought of Arata when Taichi confessed. Eren x Mikasa makes no sense too. Mikasa clearly loves Eren like Taichi loves Chihaya but Eren has never hinted her loved Mikasa. Even author himself said Eren thinks of her as a mother or sister. There was no indication Chihaya loves Taichi. All I see is one sided romance and sudden confession

Chihaya says during her match with the queen that Taichi was the person that stood with her through all hardships, how even though she was very happy playing with Arata as a child the place where she enjoyed karuta the most was with the misazawa team next to Taichi, it's thanks to him and with the card that reprents him that she's able to win, and even when he wasn't around, she could still feel his presence which gave her strength to keep playing (something she tells Arata during nationals). I think what Chihaya felt towards Arata was great admiration

I feel like it's not that people dislike this ship outright, but that they appreciate how hardworking Taichi is and how he's so supportive of Chihaya in the ample time they spend together, whereas Chihaya and Arata rarely see each other in person
They're salty because they like Taichi so much and never think about Chihaya's feel, they didn't even think about Sumire loves for Taichi. In their opinion Taichi deserve Chihaya, but Sumire didn't deserve Taichi, so biased right? Lol
idk i started to read the manga and realized how much of a hinderance chihaya has been for taichi, and how painful it kinda was for taichi to be with chihaya. i have no problem with taichi and chihaya ending up together, but i don't think it would be a healthy pair if you consider factors in their personalities. anw chihaya x arata or chihaya x taichi doesn't matter so much, i just wanna see these characters shine, and learn and see more of arata's characterrr

I hate this beacause there is no rivalry arata love chihaya and taichi love chihaya i want the creator put arata's character more often in the siries, beacuse he is always playing the game, why not arata visit chihaya like 3 times a week like that,so there is rivalry between arata and taichi,this kind of story they always put taichi's character on the spotline thats why there is no rivalry between them i just want you to know that pls put more effort on arata's character so there is no sad feeling chiyaha being with arata,thats how good story needs to end and,you know put another girl character that tacihi will fall in love like a responsible,caring,and more so there is no downside in the end and this how taichi fall in love in that girl (taichi is walking to the place like a strore a park or a mall while he had a sad face thene suddenly he bumped into a girl then he suddenly reslizes that is his another childhood friend,thene they talked about themselves,they talked more often,then they suddenly feel happines with love then they take there relastionship into another level and they live a happy life) (taichi and name of the girl) so make it like that for taichi sake and for arata and chihaya too,(arata and chihaya talked more often and comfort her and give her happiness then the love starts creating in there hearts and more)and someday they meet accidently and talked to eachother how taichi meet the girl how arata and chihaya love start and saygoodbye to eachother and they lived happily ever after,the end,pls make it more like this and this story will end in good story😭😍
