സുജിത്തേട്ടാ.... കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച ഞങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ പോയിരുന്നു.. വയനാട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് രാവിലെ പോകുന്നവർക്ക് ഇരുട്ടുമ്പോഴേക്കും കണ്ടിട്ട് തിരിച്ചു വരാൻ പറ്റുന്ന ഒരു അടിപൊളി സ്ഥലം ആണ് മുതുമല. പിന്നെ പറയാതെ വയ്യ... നല്ല ഭക്ഷണം പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കരുത്. കിട്ടില്ല... ഫാമിലി ആയാണ് വരുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ബത്തേരിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഫുഡും വെള്ളവും ആയി വരുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത്... കൂടാതെ നോമ്പ് ആയതിനാൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗം ഹോട്ടലുകളും അടച്ചിട്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
കോഴിക്കോട് , മലപ്പുറം, ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്ന് വരുന്നവർ പുലർച്ചെ 4 മണി, 5 മണി സമയത്ത് പുറപ്പെടുകയാണെങ്കിൽ 9.30 .... 10 a.M ആകുമ്പോഴേക്കും മുതുമല എത്താം.. ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്മെന്റ് ന്റെ സഫാരി രാവിലെ 6.30 തു മുതൽ വൈകുന്നേരം 6 മണി വരെ ലഭ്യമാണ്... ഒരാൾക്ക് 340.. രൂപയാണ് സഫാരി ഫീസ്.. ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ കാനന സഫാരിയാണ് ഉണ്ടാവുക.. ടിക്കറ്റ് കിട്ടുമോ എന്ന് വിചാരിച്ച് ടെൻഷൻ അടിക്കേണ്ട.. 3 ൽ അധികം സഫാരി ബസുകളും അതിൽ കൂടുതൽ ജീപ്പുകളും ലഭ്യമാണ്.. ബത്തേരിയിൽ നിന്ന് മുത്തങ്ങ വഴി കർണാടക വഴി മുതുമലയിലേക്ക് വരുന്നത് യാത്രാ ചെലവ് കൂട്ടും.. അതിനാൽ ബത്തേരിയിൽ നിന്ന് പാട്ടവയൽ വഴി ഗൂഡല്ലൂർ വന്ന് മുതുമലയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നതാണ് ഉചിതം... ഒരു One day trip ആണ് പോകാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിൽ പോകാൻ പറ്റിയ സ്ഥലം മുതുമല തന്നെയാണ്..
