this is from ozzygainzalez on instagram. This video is about a man who didn't want to go to the gym for the first time, but now he loves it. #fitness #gym #gymmotivation
I also started at the beginning of the year and was scared as shit, mainly because of stereotypes and people recording others and having fun of them. Even worse I've had no friends going to the gym, so I had to start all by myself. Luckily I met some people that helped me when I did exercises wrong and were very kind about it. Lost 65 lbs since the beginning of the year and still going strong! If you are scared of going to the gym, push your boundaries and go there ASAP!
Well in my case i was a very skinny underweight kid and could barely do a push up, now after almost 2 years i am fairly strong and have encouraged and helped many people to join the gym, not only i improved myself but i became the much needed push for many begginers, never give up!!!
The main "judgement" people make is respecting you for going to the gym. Theres also the saying of if you look to the right there is someone "bigger" than you who has been going for longer and you'd give anything to be in their position, however if you look left there is someone "smaller" than you who may not have been going for as long and would give anything to be in your position. So never put yourself down!! 😁
I started 3 weeks ago and I feel so much better than when i started. I feel now very confident since people there are really kind and helping so in some days i already developed a good realtionship with all gym memebers I encounter. I have to admit that I felt really insecure the first days, mostly because I'm only 15 and I'm already overweight and fat. I was scared about people judging me in the changing room but in my case the opposite happened. A really muscular guy who goes to my gym almost everyday started to talk with me and he explained he also started from being fat and then, after years of dedication he arrived where he is now. That conversation with him inspired me so much and I'm now very happy when I go to the gym. I now go to the gym with my friends most of the times but I still remember my first day all alone by myself. I hope this can motivate some people to start, but I doubt it since I'm still a newbie regarding the gym
@@itsirish9582 thanks for the comment. I'll make sure of that. for now I think my workout is pretty good if you take into consideration that I started two weeks ago. I'll make sure to follow your suggestion as soon as I can. thanks again
@@ericx582 theres lots of great videos out there I would start with jeff nippards push pull legs routine you can find it on youtube for free and its pretty all encompassing
I personally prefer home training, since I don't want to pay a dime for gym membership, but the gym atmosphere I think is really what would make it worthwhile (at least, when it's a positive atmosphere with the right kind of people around you).
have been going to the gym for 4 months, yeah maybe im a little bit late for kids my age but who tf care? Im there to be the best version of myself and i feel proud of my progress
When I started training I was not just scared , I was terrified . But now after all these years I go to train with pleasure cuz thats where I made most of my friends . The gym , or another place you can train , is awesome . Give it a try !
I like that instead of you going with the cliché of "no one will judge you" you went with "don't care about the opinions of people who don't want to see your growth". Because there are people who will judge you, it may not be the majority, but there will always be a proportion of assholes everywhere
I started when a friend was talking about going to the gym again after stopping for some reason I can't remember. I was thinking about starting because I always looked like shit, and I took the chance to have a friend beside me and make it a less intimidating experience. I would have never started alone probably. One of the best decisions of my life
When I was a teenager I was very skinny. I tried to go to the gym, but it was never a good experience. I used to go maybe three months and then left. It took me decades to try it again. I found a small gym, the kind that have only like 4 or 5 people at a time. So, all I have to say is: find somewhere you are comfortable. There are a lot of gyms, a lot of places you can exercize. Its not about finding the best equipments, but the best enviroment. The best gym is the one you actually go, not just pay.
Totally agree. If you're not in shape, you have MORE need to be in the gym than someone who's in fantastic shape. Get in here and get sweaty! You'll find that you've got a gym full of people who will help, support, and encourage you. Everybody who goes to the gym has the same basic goal. We share it, let's work together so we can all achieve it. To be better, to be healthier, to be fitter, no matter if it's toning, sculpting, weight loss, huge gains, whatever....
oh you changed from half to work to whole the work haha.. its a common psychology to let beginners have some confidence and let them feel like the belong..
@@ardinhajihil8935 It's called hyperbole, but no one can know how much the spotter is lifting. Even touching the weights/lifter invalidates the lift. It's dishonest, gives false confidence and makes your clients ego lift, which leads to injury. There isn't a single benefit from overspotting.
Oh, hey, to my fellow newbies: If you're doing barbell or dumbell lifts and one side gets a little wonky on you, switch to doing it one arm at a time, starting with your weaker arm, doing matching reps. It pads out the gym time a bit, but the added stability helps a lot.
When I said I will go to the gym, I was procrastinating for a really long time but then I found out it was the fear or perhaps I was holding myself from going to it
I think the only people you would need to worry about are the insta-broads that record themselves at the gym, they would post anything for views. Most men nowadays cheer for each other.
It was also very intimidating for me until i actually started going. 2 months later, i'm putting 130Kg on the leg press for 8 reps. My bench press is at around 16~22Kg, i can squat 30Kg and deadlift 20Kg. It may not sound like a lot, but i'm having to put more weight every single time. As for the machines, it was actually the bodybuilders of the gym that helped me use them To anyone afraid going to the gym: remember that the hardest part is actually starting. And if you need help, don't be afraid to ask for it. Everyone was a beginner once after all, including those huge bodybuilders that are squating 80Kg
The easiest way is to accept that you're ugly or disgusting, I appreciate the people who work hard only, no matter how bad of a situation or individual they are, if they work hard in life and be active, that's all I care and appreciate about. Ones beauty doesn't matter at all, we're all monkeys at the end of the day.
There will always be judgemental fks, every gym I went to, there were always that kinda group of people that have been in that gym since what years, just looking down on every new people that comes. Them perfs are mid, physiques are mid, dumbbell exercises in the squat racks, monopolizing machines, talks loudly (even attention-whory), eyeing you like you're shit and even belittling you if you gave them the opportunity (small talk)... Don't let those fks bother you : - You're here for your goals, for yourself - There's no competition, judge or whatever form police (except eventually coaches and kind people that might see you doing something that'll end up injuring you and they'll say it with the right and kind words, they'll show you even multiple times if needed, and sometimes invite you to do your workout in duo) - There's no wrong in taking time learning to do an exercise correctly, even if it takes multiple sets or even workouts, despite the weight being super light, there's no wrong in learning ! Don't be harsh about your pace ! - And even if you'll get to a point where you'll do much better than them, just keep not giving a fk about them : you wouldn't befriend people who just wanted to hurt you and see you fail ! Keep your nice energy and find other people like you to share time with at the gym ! You got this guys !
Meanwhile me: I don't like going to the gym because I'm lazy, and people around me keeps on saying that I will like it someday. Years later, My dislike of going to the gym just got worse.

I feel really proud of the overweight folk that I see consistently coming to my gym, it shows toughness and dedication to me more than anything else.
Seeing a guy like that in the gym would 100% brighten my day!
Good luck sir, we're all rooting for ya!
I agree bro, I'm so proud he took the steps to improve himself. That's the best thing!
anyone in his state that are trying to better themselves is amazing to see
The overweight man is a walking W and the gymbro is an absolute chad
holy molly, bro is a beast, I know, mass moves mass, but it's still pretty darn impressive

Bros kinda strong, ngl.
This guy is a BEAST! Just look at the weight he's lifting
Respect to anyone who is actively working on improving their body 🙏
He's benching 225 although he just started? Incredible stuff.
Thank you for giving credit to the guy at the end.

Bro I wanna see his progress. Please keep us updated with his progress 😮
mad respect to the big lad, keep it up
If i would workout in a gym, seeing him lift would give me a bigger push than the hardest pre booster

Future Mr. Olympia in training. He's starting his cutting phase now💪💪
woah he's benching 225 as a beginner that's really good.
He's so cool. It takes a lot of courage.
That is the only type of video welcomed in a gym.
really inspired

Well in what kind of shape? Because depending the sport you want, the body will look diferent
This goes for everyone, if you're trying to improve your quality of life and somebody disagrees with that then they are the problem, not you.
He starts training with 75 pounds shoulder press, damn
Don't worry, his spotter's doing half the work.
its a trick by good spotters to motivate you
@@ardinhajihil8935 How is letting someone else do all the work motivating? And how does thst make him a good spotter?

benching 225 is crazy as a beginner
My dude is benching 225 already!
First of all I have to say the cut will be insane if he starts cutting
There is a guy in our gym and he is blind but he comes eveey day and train so hard
And he is a veey happy guy

I recently came back to gym only cuz my friend asked me to come qith him as he never lift before. I prefer do home workout cuz of the lack of time
God damn, he bulked WAY too hard.
why they dont diet tho?

Did bro hit 225 bench first time in the gym😮

Those numbers aren't bad for someone who just started.
It takes time to build up numbers. Consistency is key
.... I need to train harder. That dude moves the same weight as I do

Yea lets see how he deals with diet and motivation after 1-2 months, or even a week who knows
