I am a retired GYN NP and did OB for a while as well. The top of your uterus is at 16 weeks exactly half way from the pubic bone to the belly button. Anything you feel above that is not your uterus. Congratulations on your pregnancy! First pregnancies are full of what our amazing bodies can do to make and accommodate a baby! It shouldn't be long youwill feel the baby move quite regular. Take care!

You are so adorable! Everything you’re sharing is so interesting. I’m 44 and unfortunately didn’t have any children so it’s exciting to follow you on this journey. What a sweet blessing! Sending you lots of hugs. You are going to be an awesome mom. 💕

I love that you are making videos about your pregnancy. One day the baby will be able to see these. I would've loved to be able to see my mom making videos about her pregnancy.

I love the end part where you flashed back on the previous weeks progress. One thing I really wish we had researched on before our daughter's birth is how to cope with parenting our first baby. Everyone was focused on the birth process. A new person/pet in anyone's life turns one's world upside down. So, brace yourselves and get yourselves informed.

Hi, Olivia, I think you are doing great. Im from England and was a nurse and health visitor for many years. A health visitor is someone who has taken a degree in family care after nursing. I guess if you want to compare to the US. Anyway what I want to say without waffling on even more is up until the 14th week of pregnancy your baby is being fed from your body which is why you felt this overwhelming exhaustion (while the placenta is being formed). After this time the placenta feeds your baby so your energy levels should be getting higher now. Just listen to your body and do as it asks, take care of yourself xx

Believe it or not, I didn’t realize I was pregnant until about 15 weeks. I didn’t have morning sickness during the first trimester! She’s now 3 1/2 years old but watching your videos take me down memory lane. 😊

Just take it one step at a time. I never really used a nursery until the baby was 6-9 months old, as I liked the comfort of the baby sleeping in a bassinet in our room. But you will find what works for you and baby when he/she gets here, and going with the flow can save you so much stress, especially when it comes to pregnancy/babies/parenting ;) ! I'm loving these weekly updates and you are looking so gorgeous!

Such an exciting time! I can’t wait for you to experience the absolute joy it is to be a mom!Speaking as a home business owner and mom of nine, baby-wearing is a life changer once the little one comes and you have to return back to work. Of course, they do sleep a TON at first so a bassinet in the workroom makes it a fairly easy transition. The biggest obstacle is resisting the urge to pick them up just to cuddle and stare at how perfect they are! 😍👌🏻💋

If it makes you feel any better, I can no longer fit a towel around me 🤣 I’m 32 weeks 5 days now 🎉 Ross has great maternity tank tops that work well! You can wear pre-pregnancy cardigans and such over them 😀

I have so many of your videos to catch up on! aah I love pregnancy updates - it's so exciting! :) I can't believe how big the little guy / girl is already! girl the shortness of breath does not get better with time I'm sorry to say! haha by the end I was out of breath after like 2 steps. I was like you and so so tired all of the time. Just take it easy! you're looking glowy and gorgeous. okay I hate to be "that mom" with all the advice! but I highly recommend the asos maternity leggings. I got a 2-pack and I wore them basically every day and postpartum haha also if you're not sure about a nursery or what to do about space etc. I wish I would have just waited until he was here to worry about the nursery because we didn't use it at ALL for at least 6 months and very rarely after that. a bassinet and changing table in your room is really all you need for quite a while. but everyone is different! ok longest comment ever, we need to have a phone chat soon! xoxo!

each to their own of course, but personally we put bubs straight into their own room, and it worked out brilliantly. was sleeping through at 7 weeks. i was thinking seeing as your work room is quite large could you possibly partition it off or put in a temporary wall to make it half a nursery and half work area?. nurseries dont have to be big of course, just enough for a cot and change table and comfy chair. , seeing as u dont use it at night anyway , and maybe for the naps you could either work in your dining room or bubs could nap in your bedroom during the day (get one of those bassinets on wheels!) as i used to roll it round to different rooms when necessary during the day . just an idea, you really have to get creative with only 2 rooms! but i just think its always good they have their own space / area to begin with and half the fun of course is setting it up and decorating! take care xxx

About the baby room, maybe you could divide a room and make a small room for the baby? I don't know your app.layout but I could help if you need some advice about putting a wall and where to put it. My friends thought have their baby girl in their bedroom for 5 years now. She has her own bed of course.

Its ok not to know exactly what to do right now. When the time comes your motherly instincts will kick in. Try not to be so hard on yourself. You just carrying a living being is awesome enough. You are doing fine, you got this. Keep up the great updates.

I'm sorry to tell you this but you may be b. Compositum deficient. I used to feel tired and all that you are experiencing all the time, even thought I was taking my vit. Then one doctor told me to try larg doses of b.comp.and it changed my life. Nowdays I take: 30mg of each B1,B2,B3,B5. Ask your doctor please, it will not go away by itself.

Also corn starch on top of natural deodorant helps keep me dry, carry snacks with you. Also Bobby Parrish has a keto Cookbook, he does grocery hauls. Helps us to read labels, choose good products. He's on utube, Instagram.

Ask your Dr about eating cellery for water retention, and apple cider vinegar applied to blemishes will dry them up. Check with your Dr. Glad your feeling better. Take it easy, rest as much as you can.

When it says that babies can be sensitive to light you can try with your phone's flashlight and you will see the baby moving around a bit more. My baby girl would feel annoyed lol by my room light itself when I would pull up my shirt then when I put my shirt down she would stay still lol but when she was born we would cover by her eyes to see them opening. Will share more info soon! I am trying to recap hehe now my baby is 10 months. Oh btw getting hungry is completely normal I went through the same hehe no worries

  • @domburic
    @domburic Před 5 lety

I spent so much time working to set up a room for my 1st one. I handpainted the walls. He did nothing but sleep in there LOL. 2nd one - I backed off a bit and she only ever napped in there until 3 mths. 😂 My last one got a pack n play in the corner of the living room until 3 mths lmao. You have no idea how much of your days and nights you will spend with a baby permanently stuck to you while on your couch for 90 days. So my advice is set up everything you could possibly need right where you watch TV.

Hopefully winter will come soon and your temp can regulate.(This extra blood flow boosts body metabolism by about 20%, creating more body heat and making pregnant women less likely to feel the cold.)
Creating a baby is exhausting work, and you're new at this, Rome wasn't built in a day not even 9 months lol. Remember these are the times you'll look back on, not everything is going to be perfect, it will fall into place in due time.
    AND You look wonderful!
I wonder if those times when you're super exhausted is when the baby is having a growth spurt. HMMM.

Love your videos on your pregnancy!! I felt like the temperature was up 25 degrees. Super HOT all the time. WOW you are really showing and expect to get so much bigger!! It's all natural - Enjoy the feelings you are having. If you can buy furniture that turns from a crib to a bed (saves space). A bassinet will probably be in your bedroom for 3 month's (due to breastfeeding). My husband got the babies and I breastfed and he put the babies back to bed (or changed them). Do Not try to be Superwoman - ASK for help. You look Lovely Olivia - so happy for you and Griffin.
