As an Ohio State fan, I’m glad the game was made by Michigan fans. All the tiny jabs in the trailer meant the game was made by ACTUAL COLLEGE FOOTBALL FANS that love the sport

Correction: CFB uses the same Engine as the Madden games, the Frostbite Engine. It can still be a different game, but CFB isn’t using it’s own proprietary engine.
came here to say this too haha. I assume what he mean to say was it's not just re-skinned with college teams. From all the looks of the game so far, it looks phenomenal and definitely a little bit different from Madden.

I'm just ready to enjoy the game being back and start my dynasty with SMU. I advise people to ignore the people complaining about this game after release, it won't be perfect but this looks like the best sports game in a long time.
I used to always pick SMU, TCU or Baylor. "Smaller schools" that I'd try to get into the big 12. Now it'll be North Texas.
@@timothyarnold1679 exactly. North Texas was my current and longest one on 14. I'd try to get them into the Big 12 then build that back up. Houston to a lesser degree but they are much better off now. I wanted to do UNT again only thing I hate is their uniforms lol. But since recruiting is so important you can mine Texas for low 3 stars early and get a team together quick especially recruiting athletes

The Texas and Cali pipelines were critical.
To be fair even as far back as the PS3 era, so NCAA 09-14, both Madden and the NCAA videogame used the same underlying engine but NCAA felt different.
Seems like that has continued, which is a good thing. For Josh's benefit in case he reads it, it's like having a house with the same techniques to build it as the one across the street, but then having a different roof and interior and so forth is an easy way to explain game engines to people who aren't ultra tech savvy really
I must suck at this game because I couldn't run and I threw picks all the time on Heisman mode
They did use the "Madden engine" it's called Frostbite developed by a swedish developer called Dice who makes the Battlefield games. EA forces ALL their devs to use it. If you've played Madden you know how bad the physics, character movements, and collision is. The engine was built to look and sound great and it does so all the "atmosphere" and College game day vibes will be great and that's what most people are going to use to call this game great. Just wait till all the EA paid for content creators hype cools down and you'll start to see how very bad this is going to be. The Frostbite engine is going to be exposed again as insufficient.
Some of the charafter movements and physics are clunky and feel like Madden where guys just fall down on tackles, but it does feel much different and it plays much different. It's significantly better than Madden

Maybe we just have a lot of people who grew up in a Madden only era of the past 10 years but EA NCAA was always its own game, it never was simply a Madden re-skin.
This is actually the same engine as madden. Frostbite. Plz state factual details. I am excited for this game regardless of that information.
I played a bit yesterday and if you are a college football fan, this game feels like Christmas morning as a kid again when you play it.

They had all these game effect in the PS2 games. Like 2008 and 2007 at least. home field advantages was always a thing.

They had the crowds chanting “over-rated” when you were about to beat a top ranked team. They had Fatigued effects in the PS2 games too. They ain’t putting anything new that wasn’t in the game 3 consoles, and 15+ years ago.

Your note about the engine is false, they use the frostbite engine, same engine that makes Madden. So ya’ll put 2 and 2 together from there, and you’ll know what you’re playing with CFB.
All the little stuff is so exciting and what’s gonna make the game great but I still can’t understand how they did some schools in their rankings, home field advantage, offence/defence and players just makes me wonder how they came up with their decisions
They used the same engine as madden so it basically is the madden engine. The difference is that they had to redesign alot of things and had years to fine tune stuff to bring out a polished game with very little issues. The reason ppl complain about madden is because the dev team only has 8-9 months to produce a full release game which give them almost no time to work on graphics, fixes, new modes/features in certain modes (like franchise mode), and working on simulation and physics stuff. EA does what they can in that short amount of time to try tol release a new game. ppl will come to realize that cfb 26 will look just as much as cfb 25 with little updates and so will the cfb games in the future (if they plan on releasingit yearly)

It was 100000% developed on the same engine as Madden, but built ground up unique. Well documented that this is the case.

“It’s the game you wanted.” So like the game that was discontinued from 2014? I’m not hearing a lot different. And yes The game we wanted was a continuation of NCAA 2014. I like Josh but this is a whole lotta nothing IMO. Not to mention the game is only limited to the newest consoles.
I think the difficulty is fine, cause I can always tweak it in the settings, my main thing is if I suck will I lose by 40 or 50 if I'm way better will I win by 40 or 50, if they nailed that I'll be fine,I am worried about the ease of recruiting, if there will be some cheese that makes it too easy to win, also the simulated stats I saw were completely wrong most of the time so hopefully they fix that
Recruiting has always been in the settings as well….why are people so scared about something that can be personalized…y’all seriously need to learn to be happy

@@michaelclayborne3771only the players who opted in are in the game. EA was only offering 600 bucks and a copy of the game for players to be in the game, so I’m shocked they got all the players they did. Not everyone though is going to be in it though.

@@TyVick989the guy who made nba 2k worked on this game so it’s not your standard EA trash like Madden always is. Just from the trailers and everything you can tell a lot of love went into this.
