  • This subscription aims to look at animals that are extinct or near extinction, and provide information about creatures that have been lost in the wild. This is a quarterly subscription box with everything you need (other than a hook and stuffing) to make up your creature. This quarters animal is the Roloway Monkey and we're treated to 125g of TOFT DK wool, 50g of Charcoal, 25g of Steel, 25g of Cream and 25g of Chestnut, as well as a small length of black to complete the facial features with our pattern landing in our TOFT account ready to go.
This monkey has definitely tested my crochet with lots of colour changes in the body and head as well as creating a muzzle which is attached separately. You also work back into the head and body to add a fluffy edge and beard along the colour change lines. I managed to make 2 legs in an evening, then the other 2 legs and the body the following day back in April, before it got put away whilst I worked on other projects. At the end of May I completed all the other pieces on our train journey back from Scotland and once again he was put away until the end of July, when I spent the day finishing him off.
In the time it has taken me to complete this project, the next 2 installments have arrived but I'm making quick work of them already so I'm sure you'll be seeing them on the channel soon too.
I am not affiliated, sponsored or endorsed by TOFT, I simply wanted to share this exciting new subscription with you and the makes I complete too.
