If the gap between books is this inconsistent then obviously we are not talking about slow because the author wants it to be good especialy since he is working on other projects. He seems to care more about spin offs rather than the main story.
Since you do not care then knows this in all likelyhood the series will be completed after his death.

I'm from the North of England. It's been my experience that Americans sometimes have trouble placing our accents. The most common one I've heard of is that they think we sound German, very strange, however hearing the accent they chose for Jon Snow it would seem they also might think we sound slightly irish.

If you heard a random American speaking would you be able to tell what region of America they're from just by the accent? Do you even know what the regions of America are? Why is it that Americans are expected to be intimately familiar with the geography and regional variations of every other country around the world but no one else is?
And on a more serious note, most people's only experience with the way people talk in other countries is what they see and hear on TV. That's why most people around the world expect all Americans to sound like either Californians or New Yorkers, and if they do hear a regional accent that's not one of those "standards" then it's probably one that's been poorly imitated and over exaggerated.
Beyond all that, this is a late night, adult cartoon that specializes in making fun of pop culture. You really expect them to go through the trouble of getting an accent expert to help with a 1-minute long bit?

It one thing not knowing the regional differences in accents within a country, it's understandable. It's another to think you're from another country. Mistaking a Canadian for an American or an Austrian for a German is understandable especially if they speak another language but thinking an English person is German or Irish is a little surprising.
@@BingleFlimp I've never heard of an English person being mistaken for German, but then I make no claims to have heard everything. To be honest, the (stereotypical) English, Irish, Scottish, and sometimes even Australian accents all sound similar to the average American ear. It's just the way your ears get tuned by what you grow up hearing. I've heard that to some English people the American and Australian accents sound similar. I wouldn't know because I don't have their ears. It's all about perception.
