No sunny skies here in Southern California. Cool and grey overcast skies here in San Fernando Valley. Thanks for your update Michael. Be careful chasing in the Midwest. It’s been so crazy this season. Last night in Oklahoma and Kansas perfect example. Those storms and tornadoes were not forecast.
Indeed, it's clear beautiful out there today. (central coast) Still a bit chilly but I'm fine with that. I will be out there. 😉 By the way. Have a great time out there chasing a few of these storms.
You did not warn us against 39° at the tail end of the Diablo range, Michael lol. I was cold when I went outside to let the chickens out and feed the animals😂 We went to Carmel yesterday and hiked along the coast and it was a bit chilly. Overall it was nice and completely sunny but the marine layer was definitely off the coast. We have been waking up to complete tule fog way up in the pass in Paicines. We are above the fog, but you can certainly see it down below. Thank you so much for these weather updates!
I would place a wager that it won't rain again in Los Angeles, till November 2024. Our normal rain season is from Nov thru April. It's a Mediterranean climate here and its normal to have 6 months of dry weather in the summer.
Pretty consistent May Gray here in San Bernardino. The transverse range and the peninsular range are doing what they always do…keep the marine layer from going any further! I’m not complaining though. It won’t be long before the days get sunny and HOT.
The Southern deserts will be dry until monsoons begin is normal...And no rain to speak of during the summer is normal too in most of California. Why do you keep saying whats normal is something to be concerned about?
Most of the population of California is on the coast. Why do you spend so much time on the mountains and T Storms which are normal there this time of year?
Got a bit of rain last night in Fontana. My garden was wet this morning. Nice and cloudy right now.
It's too windy to enjoy the sun this morning! I got blown out of the garden after watering this morning near Redding!
John McHatton
Argh...Thank you, Michael! Have a good chase and safe travels!
A little windy ( in waves ) and the lows 70s here in Redding. Quite nice weather. Thank you Michael for the forecast 👍💯

The sun has been burning through the May Gray in the afternoon, but it's not letting the solar panels recharge my phone
Enjoyed this update. Thanks so much.

Trying to clear and 67F this early afternoon in San Diego🌴🏄🏽♂️
Crescent City's airport clocked a 51 mph gust yesterday, of all Crescent City's crappy weather, the fair weather gales are the most depressing.
Oh, and yesterday the surf was pretty high in Monterey Bay
We need more snow
Very coll that you're going to be storm chasing.
Best of luck & safe travels !
Thanks for the detailed report.

Happy 🌪 chacing
Typical may gray that will turn into june gloom.
Then hot hot hot
And gray clouds
WE had a ton of rain we are in no way seeing a drought!!! WE flooded so badly..no way...
Flood isn't always good for drought, steady precipitation is much better
Lots of wind in the Coachella Valley. When will it quit? The AQI is so awful it is difficult to spend too much time outside.
