    Reality is…. You need the stripper to be truly profitable and efficient. Powder coat does not come off easily just by blasting. When I first started it took me an accumulated 10 hours or so per rim to do my motorcycle rims. I was doing it for personal use but if you’re charging $200 per set of motorcycle rims as a coated and even just 10 hours for the set because you have the best of the best cabinet then you’re talking $20/hr not even including the coating time. Anyone who won’t buy stripper will not have the thousands of dollars worth blast cabinet just like me who bought a budget blaster. My opinion is but a budget blaster but use some of the money saved to buy stripper. It would have saved me a huge amount of headache. Love the videos man!

    Great video! I’ve been wondering about time difference with and without chem as it’s the one thing I haven’t found yet for my setup. Thanks! 👍👍

    Time is either money won or lost! At this point in my venture I have more time then money. But your explanation is that one doung this as a buisness it's more beneficial to strip.
    With ever vid I watch I have to turn page to write down notes!!! I'm currently looking for the blasting media you use I can't find any local so I reached out to Co. Using ur channel as ref. Thx and keep up awesome vids

    Great video, as always. You're 100% right...if time isn't an issue, blast away! However, if you're trying to make a living from powder coating, then time IS money. At that point, the choice is clear. Rim Strip is inbound for me. 💯👊😎🌴

    We use Greensolv from Canada, in a different ballpark than any other products we have used. Green alternative also👍

      @UnknownCoatings  Před 3 lety +3

      yeah greensolv is great but the fact it needs heated, constantly boosted and is over the top expensive turns most people away from it

    Hi my friend, I’m from Puerto Rico and I really like yours powder coating and sandblasting tutorial videos. My question is, I’d got my TSW rims and want to paint with matte metallic blue powder coating. The rims are factory gunmetal already painted. Can I powder coat blue color and oven it over the old gunmetal color without Streep or sandblasting??

    You can get by without a stripper, but you would have to refuse jobs that are already powder coated, OR you have to make damn sure you don't ever make any mistakes on a coating job. Blasting powder off a part = #Ragequit
