It's always those dryer vents. Glad they go out the roof here in the Vegas Valley. I can only imagine what the other condenser looks like.

@@PipeDoctor If you get a nasty coil,ok! But most coil cleaners are sodium hydroxide(lye/alkaline base) the issue is they remove the aluminum oxide protective layer off of the metal. Same as washing your car with dish soap,it will remove the wax on the finish.Over time,it will dissolve the metal completely.As many coils as I loveingly get to wash every single day,I see the effects of using the heavy duty chemical on a regular basis!
Mike. Dont you think this year we are cleaning condenser coils much more? Wondering if all the Canadian smoke got these units plugged cus its seams like every service call i get has a plugged coil, even the clean looking ones

If your condenser is pretty clean can I use dish washing soap , without acidic chemicals
It seems Steve Lav and many others say
Chemicals anually cause corrosion.

A half pound of refrigerant low doesn't explain that freeze up and a filthy condenser coil and high head pressure definitely doesn't explain the freeze up,, did I miss something ??

I thought that you wanted to use an environmentally friendly coil cleaner and this us why you switched to Viper. It's too bad that you don't care about the environmental contamination.
All you really need is simple green or dawn platinum spray. Both are friendly and cheap. He prob switched bc of sponsorship reasons.
