Speirs, the armored car is more damaged than the normal one because of mechanic force, mass time speed and since the armoured car is heavier, more force is made and makes more damage.
If you look at crash tests, the important thing is minimizing deformation of the passenger cabin, aka does the door frame keep it's shape. In the head on crash the stock model is crushed in a way that the steering wheel would get pressed into the driver, the armored cabin keeps it's shape (except for the hood through the windshield) and would likely be more survivable (again, except for the hood)

I can't say much about vtec, but my toyota matrix has 'Lift' that switches to a big cam at 6200 rpm and gains roughly 50hp till the 8250 rpm cutoff. It is pretty noticeable while driving. VVTLI instead of almsot every other toyota having simple VVTI.
It would make sense that the armored car got damaged more during the first test because that extra weight in the back would push the car massively on impact.
Exterior armor itself isn't meant to help in a crash, you would need reinforced everything just because you'll have so much momentum it will crumple everything fairly easy. Exterior armor is meant only to protect from attacks like gun fire...or maybe a canon?
My buddy Dunkle hand V tec, it does make a dif, but it isnt that intense. you can feel in in you accel more and we only saw a bit of a change on on our local track
The armored one is actually stronger. In the 60 mph wall crash, notice how the armored car was only crumpled in the engine area. Beyond the engine, it looked brand new.The not armored car was bent all the way up to the main frame. The entire car's frame was bent. The armored car is clearly safer than htw non armored one.
