This is the first time that an MUA actually showed me what brushes and why! And I've watched a million makeup videos!
He has a few videos dating back 3 years ago where he goes in depth about some brushes and even how to clean your brushes. Hope this helps!

Another great person who does EXCELLENT brush videos is Alicia Archer. Be careful though, she will have you going down the Japanese Fuda rabbit hole. Once you’ve used the natural hair brushes for cheek and eyes there is no going back. I still use synthetics from Sigma and Sonia G and they are great for cream applications and foundations.
This is so true, I haven’t seen a video like this since Samantha Ravndahl went through her brush set with Sigma and explained how she uses her brushes! Some of them were designed by her which is cool, she was also a MUA. I got her set and love it! (but I just discovered my little eyeliner brush snapped in half so now I need my husband to glue it back together 😭) but now I really want Robert’s set… 😂 always appreciate how thorough he is with his technique and explanations ❤

As a former sfx mu artist and teacher I find your video’s absolutely refreshing. I was thinking the same thing. I do use a little cheek color and occasionally a slight touch of contouring, but I almost never wear foundation. I’m all about the eye makeup. I’d love a good set of brushes for the eyes.

Sigma brushes are incredible ! I still have brushes from them that are a decade old & they still perform amazing even after I’ve cleaned them a bunch of times.

I've always used Spectrum brushes but bought my first set from Sigma after watching your videos. OMG. I love. They're so nice to use. That and their eyeshadows really work for me. They last so well.
