I was waiting for this. Some of the scenes and backstories are going to make you uncomfortable and sad. But this is what makes it a special show.

I know you're on course to finishing season 1. But the reason made in abyss is among my greatest anime is their worldbuilding and surprise elements. In the movie and s2, there are still a lot to take in but they didn't fail to exceed my expectations by another new twist.

The kids realize learning a trade (mining the abyss) means they arent on the streets begging for food. The orphanage director is strict sure, but hey, you try raising dozens of children without being strict. It's not like shes doing it to make money. Also the culture of this town practically worships the explorers that go the deepest into the abyss, so its not like they are being brainwashed to do the work.
Bro has no idea what he is stepping into. This'll be a wild ride. 😂

I love the characters and world building of this show. It's got great design and animation and music. It has a Miyazaki kinda feel to it. Hope you enjoy it and wish people wouldn't say more than that, because it's one you should experience for yourself.
