In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Kiell laughing so hard at Jenny asking “Is a fish an animal?” is pretty rich, coming from someone who goes on to ask Alex “How heavy is the water?”
To his credit, water could become quite heavy if the production team mixed in a lot of salt

Ivo's the embodiment of "he's weird but you'll love him😂"
I'd argue that award goes to Joe Thomas, with Ivo as a very good runner up.
There is something very similar in the way they argue when it is clear they are deeply ashamed of everything they've done.
We need Paul Foot and Milton Jones on Taskmaster.

I will never have enough Taskmaster in my life.
I think I'd love to organize a local event similar to this show's premise just to give creative bright people a chance to get out in the world and show what we've all been suppressing since our early days.
Being an adult sucks. Finding your way through any given task in an out of the box way just might be what we all need to make adulthood bearable.

I'm particularly against government ministers avoiding tax through loopholes because they could close them.
So contestants should include all tax avoiding politicians, political donors, media barons, bankers, etc. Plus one tax evader for contrast. Maybe mix in a celeb for light relief?

I'm fully aware that he's owned up to and apologized for his avoidance (you're right, I used evasion as a synonym without considering that there might be a legal distinction between the terms -- thanks for pointing that out). What I was trying to say was, whereas the original comment in this reply thread was suggesting Jimmy could be a contestant on a hypothetical "Taxmaster" show, I was suggesting he should be the Taxmaster because of both his comedy persona but also because of this past incident of tax avoidance for which he has taken full accountability (which to be very clear: yay! Go Jimmy for taking accountability!) and that he has incorporated into his comedy through self-deprecating humour and being something else he'll comfortably accept being roasted for by his peers on other Panel Shows and the like. Wasn't trying to moan about how terrible I thought Jimmy Carr was -- quite the opposite.

Jenny has been around for years, I used to watch her in the 90’s.
Season 15 episodes 1-5 are out on daily motion. Im in the states and that's how I watch it every Friday (it airs Thursdays but takes time to get online).

Episode 3, prize task most heroic thing. Kiell brought in a cape with the face of Enrique Iglesias on it, Enrique sang a song in the early 00’s called Hero

I'm more shocked that the person who _genuinely_ fooled Alex didn't get 5 points.
10 points was to much for that. Also Ivo should have won the fake it task. I don't think Alex actually looked bugged by the psychic bit but he showed genuine surprise with Ivo.
@@brendanberry7403 he was a bit perplexed with the info Mae knew. as covered in the pod, Greg didn't really grasp that the fakery in Ivo's clip wasn't a fake Mummy it was a fake Ivo that he even used foreshadowing with (holding the loo roll and asking Alex whether he was into ancient Egypt) and the spare set of his clothes for the crew member to wear. Mae just calling Alex's wife is a bit more simplistic, so I feel Ivo should've edged the points, but both good really. Also: couldn't believe they didn't spot that Kiell's fake hand was a left hand but on his right hand side.
