- What a dinky cute little Dyson we have for you today! This Dyson DC49 Multifloor is an ultra and I mean ultra compact vacuum cleaner powered by a V4 digital motor.

Thanks once again Sir Roger for a wonderful demo. I seem to remember seeing a mini-Dyson like that in a department store in Toronto several years ago. It was called the Dyson “City” and was obviously designed for the urban yuppie living in a tiny overpriced flat in the centre of a North American city like NY or Montreal.
Hi Rodger I have this Dyson and I love it to bits I can't see why but it's so powerful and I've got carpet and hard floors in my house and I love it it's small compact and perfect for small houses and yes the bin is small but it's not for bigger houses it's for small environments and for me and my wife this is the best hoover I've ever bought and had.

I've just bought a second-hand DC49 off of fleaby and am jolly looking forward to it! I already have a V7 bought recently from Sir James' refurb outlet, which I am *well* pleased with! The cordless now sits in its holder in my big double-door storage cupboard, and so the little DC will sit in one of the bottom storage cubes in my kitchen/diner, ready for action. I simply couldn't resist its adorable little cuteness! Thanks for your videos, which have been most informative :-)

I'm very excited to add that I now have a modest collection of tools to go with my two DC49s - yes, you read that right, dear reader - I did say two! Although both my DC49s are blue and lovely, I wouldn't mind getting one of the yellow ones eventually. When I say yellow, I really mean gold ! Dysons are great !!
Back to the tools. I have the mini turbine head and the tangle free turbine tool (as well as several otherrs) and the fabric tool roll, with 'Dyson' written on it on a dinky little label, too which means I can hang the tool roll from the wall, pop all the matching tools in it and stand back and admire it! Oh yes. Also when my mates come round, they can readily admire the collection of Dyson tools too - however, I haven't actually got any mates 😞

in the USA it was called the Dyson Air Blade Hand dryer, and what I hated about it was that it stayed on for a few seconds before turning itself off, so you have to retract and put your hands back in the U shaped area , to turn it back on.

we had this in malaysia as a dc 48 turbine head which is a simular to the dc 49 and at 2:04 this is a dc 63 a cinetic version of the dc 48/49 we had the turbine head model and there was the turbine head pro and there was one in japan where it had a motorised head
I wish we got the power heads in the USA
That V4 is the same motor they use in the Dyson Airblade hand dryer. I wish Dyson would make their ‘digital’ motors more powerful and put them in all their corded vacuum cleaners. They say they’re done with corded but I think there’s still room for improvement.

V10 at max has 155AW which is more than the Small Ball. So there are instances where the 'digital' motors would've been more powerful than their conventional ones.
Justin H. Correct, I think the reason they don’t put it in full size vacuums is that it would have to be priced higher than they already are since it is a bigger machine than a cordless.
I would like cordless Dysons' because the vacuums would look nicer

The older model was the dyson dc26 sold around the same time the dc23 dc24 and dc25 were on the market for both us and uk it used the older turbine head with stiffer brushes instead of the newer ones. weirdly for the us models they came with a turbine head but the uk ones came with the crappy airflow only heads that were not really good I'm not sure if it was only for certain models or was stock that way
I just bought a DC26 and it came with the crappy straight suction head, but I will get a turbine head for it.

The Light Ball, new Animal 2 upright, Animal 2 canister, V7 & V8 cleaners are much quieter than older models.
