Happy Place is my first read and I actually enjoyed it! Though of course all the points you brought up made sense -- the miscommunication definitely drove me NUTS at times but something about the friendship really just hit close to home, and that's why I probably enjoyed it so much 💕 I'm SO glad you really enjoyed Beach Read -- I'm excited to read it then, it just came in my Libby so I'll be reading it soon 🥰

After reading Funny Story I felt the overwhelming need to re-read Emily Henry’s books!! That being said as of now (it may change after the re-read) here is my ranking: 1. Funny Story 2. People we meet on vacation (whaaa🫨 I know probably the only person in the fandom who ranks this one so high but it is what it is and I said what I said 😂) 3. Book lovers (made me cry too!!! And the sister relationship 💜) 4. Beach Read (amazing and it feels weird to put it in fourth place but one of them has to be) Also want to note Layover - the extended epilogue for beach read is the BEST epilogue EVER and I read it like 3 times in a row!!! And then last place goes to …. We all know… Happ… JK I haven’t read it so idk where it would rank… but soon.

I haven't read People We Meet on Vacation, but based on the tropes I feel like it'd be a last place for me. as for the rest? I dunno, dude. Hmm, okay. Happy Place is fourth, then Funny Story, Beach Read and Book Lovers first. Realistically? Two are tied for second place and the others for first place. and one day, People We Meet will be in one of those two places. Probably.

I personally loved funny story and gave it 5 stars then second favorite is Book Lovers then Happy place.

I hear Beach Read has a lot of sad parts compared to Book Lovers (Book of Leo's channel).
