    I like him too. Why didn't they keep him on the show. I love Brian's character. He is a perfect fit for Reba. What's wrong with Reba? A handsome, polite, caring, charismatic character like Brian, and nothing happens? Nix? Narda? And Reba - Beautiful, " with the body of a teenager" ? Oh! There was chemmistry. So, What were the writers thinking? What was the problem of Reba having a handsome new husband. Not just surviving, but moving on and living life to the fullest.
    There could have been so much more twists and turns to this new situation. In my opinion, the episodes with Brian in them, were some of the very best. It showed Reba, not being just a supermom and grandma, solving every single problem that came along, but a vulnerable woman, capable of giving all her sensual heartfelt, sexual, playful love to a man.
    I felt let down when the writers removed him from the show. That part of Reba - a woman witbout a man in her life - I guess meant to show the audience, especially women, that strong women could go it solo and be a survivour. Sorry. but I do not want to be a mere survivour in this life. I want to live life to the fullest. Yes, I am a mom; Yes I am a granma, but just a couple years ago, someone came into my life, and I began living again. I had forgotten what having a male partner and friend who helped me begin to solve an eight year old problem was like. I had been trying to do it all on my own and only getting angry. It was exhilarating; it was exciting; it was fun, fun fun..
    All I could think about, after Brian's departure, was what the hell's wrong with her that she can not 'attract a partner? That she has no sexuality....what? She's survived three children;; a daughter's teenage pregnancy; her husband's cheating and re-marriage; teen rebellion, and her husband's mistress and new wife , becoming her best friend. ( Believe me. Only in movie-and-tv-Land, a mistress as best friend can exsist), but in real life, all the rest is a given. Being a survivour is practically a Woman's role in life. Which brings me back to: Why Nix Brian? The show slid a little downhill for me after the Valantine's episode.Reba was just a woman proving she could do it all by herself, and survive, But so can every strong, independent, healthy woman. And I know many who not only survived but are living life that much better......with a fascimile Brian. 😄

      First of all I am glad that you found a man that you are happy with. That is cool. There were several men in the show that were very attracted to Reba but they just weren't right for her or it was too soon after the divorce and she needed time to heal. I liked Brian too. It would have been nice if in the last few episodes they had gotten back together and announced their engagement in the last episode.

    I really don't even think that Reba needs a man in her life on the show because she is better without one.. but that's just my opinion...

      I would have like to see her start dating in the last few episodes then get engaged in the final one. I did like the show the way it was. I think it is also good to show that an adult can live a fulfilling life without a partner. Many people do.

      @@Dankfort It is good that on this show none of the characters are always bad or always good but shown as real people with strengths and weaknesses.

    I still don't understand why Kyra even wanted to move in with her Dad and Barbara Jean in the first place but I guess she wanted to get away from Cheyenne which actually was the real reason why she did what she did

    • @laurakelsey890
      @laurakelsey890 Před 18 dny

      Yes it was. I think there were other reasons too. She didn't like her mom's rules and thought that her dad would be a pushover. This was mentioned in several episodes.

  • @user-vh3uj5mi2l
    @user-vh3uj5mi2l Před 18 dny +1

    Kyra jumped to conclusions because Reba took her stuff and put it in a container thinks her mom doesn't love her.. Kyra is so loved by her Mom that she was upset when she wanted to move in with her Dad and Barbara Jean

      Sometimes Reba can't win no matter what she does. As a mom too I can relate.

    Lol . Barbara Jean didn't need to repeat that but she constantly always has to do that and it's very annoying..

    How are Van & Cheyanne and Brock & BJ always running around without their babies?

    Brock is so spoiled in some of these. Women would Love to follow some of their dreams too; not just watch others go for theirs. But then women would be called selfish and bad mothers ;)

      I don't know but I did notice that other than Reba's old bathrobe she never wears the same thing twice. Neither does Barbara Jean.
