I completely agree with you! I think my love started fading for Rainbow High when they removed their second outfits because that was one of my favorite parts about them :(
I honestly still love Rainbow High but I can definitely relate to how you are feeling ❤ Sometimes we just get our fill of certain doll lines and need a " change of scenery," so to speak. That change for you is Bratz❤ I think that a lot of us doll collectors go through this from time to time😊

the word hate is a strong one,, you don't hate them, you are just bored of them,, i personally disagree ,, i love my rainbow high dolls , i have over 200 of them,,, i'm dissipointed with shadow high series 3 but everything else i really like

I think that doll collectors experience burnout with certain doll brands that they fixate on. Cuz I've definitely experienced what you're experiencing before.
That happened to me too, I loved lol omgs when they first came out, that first picture of Swagg had me gagging!! But it started fading some time ago and the truth is I love Barbie, I feel like Barbie is sort of my core-go-to line and I don’t mind selling or trading my other dolls to get me more Barbies
I get what you mean 100% as I've been feeling this way myself. I feel as though since last year was MGA's peak with RH, they've run out of ideas . And the fact that they did away with both the greyscale motif with Shadow High, and the 2nd outfits with their current releases entirely didn't help either. I also get what you mean about having to remind yourself what made you fall in love with them in the first place. They remind me so much of porclain dolls with the glass eyes, joints, and matte skin until it's hard not to love them. Lily Cheng, Shanelle, Elyza Mcfee, Monique, and Cheer Sunny I already got. I think once I get the newest pink SH doll, Runway Sunny doll, sabrina st cloud, and the storm twins, it'll be a wrap for me. Not a huge completionist like the other doll collectors and enthusiast since I only pick out the dolls that really speak to me and catch my attention, so I think I'd be very content at just letting the RH train end there for me.
I feel with you. A couple of month ago I actually sold half of my collection while only still keeping a few. Recently though I have started to get into restyling and I feel the love I lost for them comes back when I restyle them
I go through that faze with my doll collection. Sometimes I feel like selling them but instead I put them away and after a time i get back into the dolls again. Then im really glad I didn’t sell them off. Another thing I notice about myself is that even though I may get fixated on various doll brands, I default back to barbies.
Your custom work on the RH dolls is stunning. I can see that they inspired your creativity.
Literally feeling the same way. I like shadow high dolls and I might keep a few of them. but the rest of rainbow… i feel like selling almost all of my collection.

Me too tbh, the title made me so nervous. Come to think of it Rodney has been pretty silent since then.
I agree I think the brands rebranding was kinda too long of a break and when they came back they really wasn’t exciting people fashion wise I feel. And also the no second outfit change was huge. Bc that was the fun part of RH dolls and separate them for anyone else in the doll world. I think last year was just also toooo good of a release and I’m afraid is the peak of the brand. I think they do better as catering to adult collectors too. And stick to high quality releases, kinda in the pace Bratz are doll with their special edition dolls. Release dolls with insane fashions and qualities. Especially with existing characters. Thats another thing too. If their new characters aren’t giving then they should just do more doll lines with existing characters. Bc I would love to see more dolls that’s not the main 6. Like it’s so much material there.
Also the storyline isn’t much to grow a connection to them. And even some characters don’t even gets screentime
I think other brands are definitely overshadowing them too. Omg dolls always been consistent, Bratz are definitely exciting rn I can’t lie. Monster high is just crazy itself it always will tbh, and the Barbie movieeeee is definitely overshadowing RH rn. And also this is not to say the brand is doing bad, bc the quality is always there for RH/SH so let’s not do that. I just think we are bored in this brought but also it’s been just ok this whole year and then it’s looks like it’s looking like Ok again still with the newer releases too. Which is making everyone uninterested I think also.
Also I could say that I mean they are bigger dolls than say like Bratz. (One thing I notice too is Bratz are the perfect size dolls, such a easy light holdable doll lol) and the typical Barbie/or even Mh dolls. RH dolls are huge and I can see how having many feels crowded or even just huge in general. (Which is why they brand was so go bc not only do they look real and beautiful sculpted with the inset eyes and edges and lashes and faces. Fully Articulated bodies frabic shoes, layered outfits) way that get taken away a little on top of the lack of support by the fans. You can definitely see it by just looking at the differences from now to a year ago. Less excitement and not enough good designs for the new ones.
But yeah lol this was long but I just didn’t mind to text my thoughts away haha. I hope this all makes since tho and loved the video. I def feel you on it. I even gave some of dolls away to my niece that I don’t care about really. Lol and I got like 30 of them in total lol so I’m just like I can’t even imagine having more. That’s so many bodies of dolls lmaooo. And CLOTHES too😭😭
I wholeheartedly agree with you on the points you made! RH/SH are still very much loved in my collection, it's just that I'm at the point where I just need their clothes. I don't need MGA to shove more dolls in my face, they need to focus on giving us top tier fashions in every color. Bratz had fashion packs, and I just feel like RH/SH is long overdue for them! And if they do start making them, I need them to stop with the blind box surprise crap. 🙄💯
Tbh I have a few rainbow high dolls but they aren’t that interesting to me. They look cute n all but they lack personality. I can make up hole stories with ever after high and mh dolls but like I feel like rainbow high dolls aren’t that creative. Bratz are cute, they just have way more personality for some reason .
Maybe the new wore off and they’re not nostalgic enough 🤷♀️
I know what you mean-I just buy the occasional RH doll I really like -rather than the whole series-love your re-styles especially the green one on the shelf under the shadow high dolls+great channel++++++++
I have 25 of them and I've been kinda feeling this but not as much. I just think about dolls thst are cute but I think the more dolls I got, the less of the "magic" I felt looking and unboxing them.
Its just an average thing to me so I want to stop buying more so I can appreciate the ones I have. Buying RH burnout ig. It also doesn't help that the leaks for the newer ones don't give what they used to. So I'm not too excited to get new dolls like I used to be.
the only thing they have good rn are the runway dolls and the sunny and luna two pack. The leaks of the new shadow highs and new rh dolls are quite underwhelming ngl
I know rainbow high such a good doll line and shadow high doll the best overall hopefully you can continue to collect rainbow high and shadow high dolls and don’t give up doll collecting
I kept 6 RH dolls and sold the rest. I honestly bought them because everyone else was and I wanted to be able to collect a doll line as it was just beginning (I was late to OMG) but I realized they just weren’t for me. I still think they are pretty and can appreciate them in other people’s collections💜 that 2 pack had me for a moment though 😂
I think its no different than updating your decor in your home. You get tired of looking at the same art hanging on the wall. Or tired of the wallpaper you liked 10 yrs ago.
I going to get shadow high 2 and 3 and runaway dolls and I call quits.
NS baby, I’ve legit fell out of love for RH. RH did start my doll collecting but I’ve legit fell back into love with Bratz. I’ve been on a rampage on eBay buying a bunch of them
I got into them because of the quality, and I can find them very cheap. My favorites are the sweet looking ones like Deliah. Also, I just found out that the petite Barbie can fit their clothes. I'm not really into Bratz as much their feet are huge, and it sucks that their outfits don't fit my other dolls like the others I own. I like My Scene more but they are so expensive.
Yes! I also agree! For me, there is a small few whom I love and would never part with (especially Robin! She was really hard to find and I love her!)
But lately I haven't been impressed with the latest reveals. I'm interested in the runway dolls, I'm not a fan of series 3 of Shadow High nor was I crazy about series 5 of RH. Tho, I am really excited for the body type dolls, mainly the tall lilac ones! But I've always been an OMG fan! Their also very sentimental to me! I'm still praying that we'll get Candylicious and Kitty K's fierce dolls! But I'm gonna stay hopeful for RH and enjoy them while I still can!
I understand where you are coming from. I also had a point in my life that I started to kind of fall out of love for certain doll brands, but overtime, I learned to love them again. And I think that's what you should do. I'm not saying that you can love them again or not, but just give it time and think to yourself, "is this what I want to collect and purchase?".
I can relate to what you all are talking about. I've had dolls like Heather for a year now. Is she gorgeous? Yes, but it's time for a new look.

Honestly I just bought the Maddison twins and the purple eyed custom doll to restyle, but these new shadow high and rainbow high waves look awful I definitely won’t be buying them and it’s kinda disappointing 🥲
I definitely dont love them all. I dislike the pointed chin ones. Some have some aloen looking face molds. Im picky about the ones I like and I definitely dont collect them just to say I have them all. Im selective and bjy more for themse for my room boxes vs just having them to have.

You have a beautiful doll collection. I don't think you hate Rainbow High. I just think you have a new love for Bratz which is totally understandable, after all there are lots of dolls for doll collectors to fall in love with. Your love right now is more focused on another line.

rh is going downhill and it's so sad honestly. they peaked when rh s4 and sh s1 released and now they're just 📉
