I got one of these about a year ago but mine has the more squared cabinet/baffle and looks a bit bigger. Someone re-foamed it sometime along its life and they did a pretty good job. The speaker sounds really nice. I wish I could find a mate to it but it would be by chance. Sounds great with my G.E. mono tube amp and mono records.
Thanks for the info. You have the best knowledge pertaining to speaker restoration on CZcams. I’ve recently acquired some Bose 501s with rotted out foam. I wanted to keep the original dust cap and seeing your method helped me a lot in doing that. Thank you sir.
Very nice workmanship! Thanks for sharing this.
There were some interesting "enclosures" in the early days of HiFi/Stereo. Many lacked an actual cabinet more like a fancy board that one placed experimentally close to the wall or corner of the room. I never seen that Wharfedale Corner Horn design before. Thanks for sharing
So how do you do the later wharfedale woofers that have an alluminium ring glued in at the top of the voice coil form that prevents getting shims in?
Hi I have had warfdale speakers for approximately 30 yes now I don't think u can buy a better loudspeaker than warfdale e30 amazing sounds
holy crap look at that tweeter
spoiled the original design. it is now an ordinary speaker, not a masterpiece.
What should he have done?
awfull job, you killed the speakers :(
Because of the tweeter or the new surrounds?
