She Moved Through The Fair

This was recorded during the Covid-19 Lockdowns.
Traditional Irish folk song written mostly by poet Padriac Colum. (1881 - 1972) although that may be up for debate and he may have simply collected the poem and arranged it in to how we know it today.
It tells the story of a man being visited by the ghost of his fiancé who sadly died before they were married.
This recording came about when Anya Fay of DaisyBell posted a wonderful unaccompanied version of this song to facebook. I couldn't help but put a guitar arrangement to it that Anya then re-recorded with a beautiful vocal harmony and bass recorder.
The song will eventually appear on my studio album when I decide on a title and a cover! Watch this space.
