I had the exact same situation with the leg popping right off. Overall I'm pretty happy with this figure, all things considered.

Jesus those are a lot of QC issues. I honestly feel bad. You always end up getting major duds without fail. This review is going to be fun I can tell. I also can't wait for the figure fight.

people don't respect the art of godzilla, so many scraps of paint on the foot and now in the package itself

I got my SHMA 1964 goji today and it is amazing, there is no qc the sculpt is amazing and the paint is fine for what is cost and the articulation is also amazing
I love this figure :)
They should've saved the fuzz for Mothra.. c; Anyways, I would suggest the use of Testors model paints to cover up the paint scuffs. They've worked very well for me, and while I don't feel very fond with the fact that I have to cover up paint issues with a $200 figure, it still works decently.

Awesome unboxing loved it !! But wooow the issues you had were quite shocking ! I got my awakening shin earlier in the week and mines was solid and only had a tiiny bit of fuz on the bottom of the tail.

The reason they call it the awakeing is beause when they woke up Godzilla after he first did his atomic breath and when he woke up again he used his atomic breath.

The box front is one of the best they've done. To bad the overly red paint/hue the figure has drags it down.
*Finished with the video. Yeah, dunno what they were thinking with the overly red red/lip area. It just looks terrible, especially if the light catches it.
Other then that, looks like you caught ANOTHER winner.

Plus a good reason why you would rag about the figure is that it cost over $100. Something that is being sold for a crazy price should not has any issues.

So glad I dropped this line. I'd much rather a smaller collection of only good figures than more that suck. It's a shame how bad the QC has gotten because the sculpts and even the engineering are so good
It’s the tail or the hand that is loose
i have a littel tip for you and the joints of the action figure all you need to do is get some pledge floor care and apply it to the joints you want to tighten say the tail of shin apply to the ball peg and let sit whiel you apply it to the socket of the figure u just wait about 5 minuts then push the tail back on iv used this trick with my sh figuarts dbz figures and it works like a charm trust me you wont regret it
I know how to tighten stuff, that's not the issue here.
well i just wanted to let you know becaus ive seen some sh moster arts be hendered becaus the joints would pop off and btw i think your reviews are amazing and i do hope to see more dbz in the future
and by what you have seen so far would you think the awakening version be the better figure between the original?and yet i havent started with the monsterart yet and i dont have a clue wich figure i should start off with any suggestions?
Steven have you considered a numeric scoring for the Figure Fights instead of Binary? Perhaps each category could be scored out of 10 points instead of just saying Figure A > Figure B in Category 1 :)
+Kyle A I have, but at the same time that negates the whole review where you can just skip to the end to get an idea of how it is.
That's a fair concern, though I think most of your audience comes for the commentary! With the GMK video it seems like the rating system doesn't distinguish between a close call or if one figure completely blows the other one out of the water in a particular category, that's all. Just some feedback, I will still keep watching :)

Just got mine. The qc is really bad. The head and tail have some white paint and the split jaw part cannot firmly attach to the head. With such high price, this is plain ridiculous!
