- Rock Train Near Bottom Of Batavia Hill Crosses Bridge Over Main Street. Aggregates Train Unloading On Main Line & Big Train Passing Ancient Signals. Car Wreck With Fire On Highway. Several Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Trains In Ohio East Of Cincinnati.
I was in Batavia, Ohio for Lillias track meet. On The way there a car wreck had just happened on the highway and we take a quick look at that. While I was there I was listening to the train on my radio doing some railroad switching at nearby Huhtamaki. As the train left I could hear it blow for a crossing while I was in the bleachers. I went to Main Street in Batavia to film it coming around a curve at the bottom of the hill and crossing a bridge over Main Street. Then I went to Milford to catch it again but a second train was sitting on the main line unloading 3 covered hopper cars. We see that train and we see the rock train shutting down for the day. I went back to the track meet and got there just in time to watch Lillia on her last race.
I had some video from a couple years ago that I never posted so I added it to this short video. We see a CCET train running eastbound through Mt Zion and Seaman, Ohio. Notice the ancient Norfolk & Western Railway signals that are bagged out of service. I remember when they were shut down about 19 years or so ago.
Don't miss the Live Action Pets and the slide show from the video. Please leave a comment.
Filmed Monday, April 29, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the tour of the farm, JT! It looks nice. It is a lot of work fixing up an older place. We bought ours in 1977 and it's still a work in process. I love seeing the dogs, too! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Very cool! Thanks Gary
@@JawTooth Think nothing of it. 😊
Those are the coolest looking engines, great paint scheme.
Glad you like them!
🎉 A very Nice HORN Salute 🔊 🎵🎶🎵 👍 👏👏👏
Another exciting video of train action in Ohio the heavy train on the bridge and down the hill, the school track meet, the always awesome pets Norfy, Chessie, Loki and Brandi, the slide show and always great trains etc.
Thank You Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🤠🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
Thank you very much!
I can't get enough of that rumbling sound as they slow down! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Apart from the trains, there's some lovely land around you Jaw Tooth.
You're blessed young man!
Regards again from 'down under'
Arthur from Sydney, Aus.
It is pretty out here. I wish the land was cheaper. thanks for watching!
When I was a kid, we had a tradition, that if you went under a moving train on the overpass, you toot your horn and make a wish. Anybody else?
Awesome 😊🎉
I don't recall if I had a similar tradition? The closest overpass was the one that went over USR 68 on the south end of downtown Xenia, Ohio.
When I was just a tot my dad was driving me someplace and I said "I bet we get stopped by a train." He took that bet for a nickel. I lost that day but for years afterward he would give me a nickel every time we got stopped by a train.
Yup. In Texas.
When I was small, 70-odd years ago, I made it a point of making a wish every time we drove under a train on a bridge or over a moving train. I have no idea where that came from. My biggest prize event was driving under a Boeing 747 at London airport! The main entrance is right under a taxiway.
Yeah I agree that was one very heavy train. That area is all nice and clean there to catch that train too. Oh wow there are so many accidents in that area.
Good morning J.T.Good show Dogs Rule.Home owner ship lots of work.sure looks 👍🙂
Morning!
Thank you very much for putting these videos 1985 shooting star state of Virginia CB radio live give me a thumbs up fantastic video
Thanks for watching 😊
Well look at you, soccer and track! Way to be a DAD! Keep up the great work.
Thanks! Will do!
Nice CCET video. Good to see such big train loads. I've taken an interest in the CCET for some years since I found photos of the Scioto bridge while I was researching the Abner Gaines Tavern after learning about it while I was doing a civil engineering course. I was intrigued to discover that the CERailway was originally a narrow gauge line in its early years as I am a lifelong narrow gauge enthusiast on the Ffestiniog Railway over in North Wales, as well as being a long term volunteer on the North York Moors Railway which I live next to.
I also know the amount of work required to run a smallholding as we ran a few Hereford cattle and some goats here for quite a while. One of the fields is now part of the loco depot on the NYMR!
Thanks for giving me a shout out on a CCET video, much appreciated. I will have to see if I can find some bits of video of our lines over this side of the pond to send you if they will be in the right format.
Keep up the good work on the fences, it's a long job but worth the effort!
A toot salute and a friendly wave. Doesn't get much better than that. Awesome CE action, enjoyed it much. Thanks JT!
You got that right!
Great picture of train just coming out of trees and the curve. 👍
I haven't filmed that shot in years. Thanks for watching!
Good morning, another great video. God bless..
Good morning!
Thanks Jaw Tooth, great video, my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it
I remember seeing those engine numbers... 1686 and 1657... on other of your videos... maybe several times... always nice and clean.
Thanks again!
They are the main engines on this particular line.
Always great to see a switcher in the videos.
Hey jaw tooth awesome train. Hope Lillie did great at track meet. They should build a siding for unloading cars so not blocking main line. You could build a mini riding train on your property. It's so big. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
They are going to build a siding there. Not sure when though
A fabulous video again today, JT! It comes as no surprise at all given your track record. 😃 Thanks so much! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Great video JT. Appreciate the look around your property too.
Thanks 👍
Was a Volunteer Firefighter / Paramedic for a while while working at a Foreign car repair shop in a small town in So Illinois. I hated those kinds of calls, never knew what to expect. If I was at work I would hop in the wrecker and drive to the accident site figured might as well pick up some work for the shop while on a call. Always took our parts runner with in case I had to ride the ambulance with an accident victim.
Love this one. Thanks JT. Farm and Cincinnati railroad. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Good morning with a train coming out of the forest pretty cool with the sweet sound of that engine throttling!👍wow you got a lot of land to take care of with a beautiful spot for sure with nature sounds and plenty of room for the puppies or future horse or two. Your area reminds of the show called Heartland the longest family drama series ever in Canadian history filmed in beautiful Alberta with 17 seasons available on Up Faith and Family, Prime, Netflix or Hulu where you can start with season 1, beautiful scenery, nature, horses, cows. Great story lines with impeccable acting. Your lawn is looking good Brian! Hey Davenport is up the road on i80 as I'm sw of Joliet IL you can follow the Rock Island train line all the way there! Always a great video with blessing to you and the family! Be safe🌎🎛🐈🐕🐎
Hey look it's Jawtooth. The EMA got to make an appearance again.
Thanks for watching 😊🎉
Thank you for being you.
And a horn salutes as well…yes VK6GIA Peter Western Australia

Swift of foot was Hiawatha and so was Lillian and you worked in the trains around it. Certainly an impressive train for the 2 GP15s and good to see the switcher poised for action. That old Depot site is neat and I see that old stairway is still there to the highway level. .That unused footage.with the train going by those old signals was certainly Worth showing and of course how we went from the muscle shirt to a jacket testing us to see if we read the sequence
Good morning. Great video
Good morning!
our beagle use to get into it with a skunk and get sprayed... lol dad used tomato paste to get the smell off him.
That train reminds me of the Cincinnati reds
Yes, it does me too now that I think of it and it has the C on the front
I never did care about the red color on anything but I love the way those engines was painted Thanks for showing my train again even if I never get to see it in person
Thanks for watching!
Wow! Excellent catching the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad, I like it, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much.
Many thanks!
Great video

@JawTooth Good
You travel here and there you don't sit in your backyard like some people , who do train CZcams channel.
Gas has been very expensive and is getting even more expensive ❕️💲❕️

@@JawTooth when will Alan be out shooting videos again
When will Alan be out again shooting videos of trains
Howdy JT! Heck yeah... have your own freezer full of grass fed beef! 😁 Not going to be much left of those cars by the time the FD gets there... never a good sign when you roll up on an accident with heavy black smoke showing... yikes... Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠
As always...🙏👍
Thank you again
Hi J.T., very nice as usual. Guess you saw the derailment up in New Mexico by I-40. Very best, Len
Farm looking good, what happened to the horse you used to have?
Quite the busy railroad. some fellow is growing fast. fencing no matter what is not cheap these days.
Sweet. A horn salute and a wave. Wish I took a video of a train last Friday. The end DPU had a poppy on it
Oh nice!
Awesome live action.
when loco 1657 comes out of the forest, and the engineer gooses the throttle, it sounds like they put a cam in it! lol... Good video, son!
Thanks!
Great video Brian 👍
Good morning all &Happy May Day!
Good morning!
Hey, Jaw Tooth. The gondolas were the empty of ties? Thanks for the shout-out of my 57th birthday. I will get together with you hope in September if things permit. I will teach you how to pronounce my last name. LoL. Good try. Thanks again, Robert. P.S. Tell Lilly to keep up the good work at her track and soccer games.
You got it! I knew I couldn't figure out how to pronounce it. lol, have a great week!
Nice catch good luck at the race lillias
Nice Catch
Thank you very much!
Jaw tooth we needed you yesterday in Indiana and Michigan then we could've had a combo weather/trains video.
Going to see all the trains that I wish I could see.
That’s a bummer you couldn’t get as much trains possible oh well great video I will like it and my dad too!
Ok thanks! I was hoping to get the other side of the train passing but they shut down for the night. There was one other railroad crossing that I might have been able to beat them to but it would have been close
Extremely fabulous video this time, JT.
The first clip of CET rolling 'round the bend was breathtaking! You've gotten a ton of great shots, but that one I think is your 'Crown Jewel' to date (IMO).
Where the former station was does look super good now compared to how it looked when you first introduced us to it. Makes paying taxes a bit easier when you see things like that getting done.
It's nice to see Lillia is so into sports and athletics. Sadly, not many young people today seem able to be away from their electronic devices long enough to do anything. If you think it's appropriate, let her know she has impressed an old man in Pennsylvania, and made him happy.
Stay safe and I hope you can get to all the locations on your list for the year. That'll be great.
"Some say it's good luck; I say it's God's intervention" - Originator unknown
You have the best train videos
Thanks!
Nice farm and land Jaw Tooth. Here in Australia where I’m from, land within 60 kilometres of an urban area’s very expensive and that’s just the land! Then you gotta cough up a tonne more cash to build on it. I hope you find much peace and joy renovating your land and fixtures. Over and out. Anthony.
It is really getting expensive here too. Just in the last five to ten years. Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth No worries JT 👍🏾👍🏾
Good morning Jaw Tooth.
Good morning!
Boa tarde🐱🐶🐶🐶🌅
Good morning
Morning!
Shortline with more than one crew out at one time. I'm jealous!
Jawtooth…how can I reach you? I’m sorta southeast of you in Wheelersburg. Just east of Portsmouth. There’s a signal here by my house, and the guys call it the “Hold out”! We have been seeing TONS of foreign power on the NS main. Also, I come you way a lot to Traders World and Bass Pro. Let me know how I can contact you. Thanks!
Cool Video! Hope Lillia's Team placed good!
I think they got second
@@JawTooth Cool, That's Good!
Hi JT, that is a lovely setting tor the CET over the bridge, nice horn salute too. Brilliant filming the train looks good down the hill. Nice 2nd train & crossing too. What happened to the horse you had in the field JT? ❤😊👍
Many thanks! My horse is still there. I have had him for over 20 years or so
@@JawTooth 🥰🐎👍
Back in the 70's I had a neighbor who owned a steer named Betsy. The kids named it. 😂
Lol, thanks for watching !
Nice place you have.
Yes, thank you
Brian love hearing the locomotives working 😊 also love seeing the updates on your farm btw when does Stahl's usually s seed in the spring?
Last year they planted corn on May 26. They will probably do soybeans this year and probably plant sometime before the end of June
RIGHT,, FENCE ROW CLEARING AND REPAIR ING IS HARD WORK,,, INDEED. EXCELLENT VIDEO. 👍🤠🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
I think you got a shout out and a wave too didn't you?
I enjoy the video👍👍
Thanks 👍
That was a heavy train that you caught in Batavia, Ohio, Jaw Tooth. The two GP15-1s were needed to move all those rock cars. What do they do with the rock hoppers that are unloading on the mainline, when Cincinnati Eastern has to move a train west of that location? The two cars in the fiery accident will be totaled by the insurance companies.
It's just hard to believe that 2 of these v16 trains puts out less hp than a v8 top fuel engine.... that is wild to think about
Love the videos Brian there is a railroad festival called railroad days in hinton wv 150th anniversary of the chessie system
Cool, when is that? I was there in Hinton one time when I rode the Amtrak train there during Railroad Days but they no longer do the Amtrak train
My last entry... 16:31
. *No one can call you "**#Lazy**"* ❕️
What are the curved rails in the middle of the bridge JT? 😊😊
When he said something about going to a "track meet," naturally I thought it had something to do with trains. Then he started talking about "her races" and I realized he was talking about a running track.
I enjoy watching your videos on the CCET, I've just finished watching your entire series on this railway, very enjoyable, your camera work improved over the years. I noticed at the end that there were hidden videos, any chance for them to be re-released?
Many thanks! Thanks for watching all of them. I took a bunch down because they were short and not very good. I might look through them and see if any are worth reposting
