Great show Danie - you are truly entertaining and talented. Full disclosure - as Pops and Grams to Vivien we have seen the finished product and we didn't want to leave the room it was so much fun!!! Can't wait to see Part 2. Vivien loves her room and yes she is a very special granddaughter who loves to learn about everything.
Do not regret not owning this thing sooner. I am a proud (or unfortunate?..) owner of one of the few first ever made Cricut Makers, and we call her the Crazy Machine, because she has got more glitches than the Matrix. It is really more of a raw prototype than a finished product. I am guessing that Cricut was pressed to release the model onto the market, but it still was not ready just yet. We can still make her work (sometimes), especially after multiple software updates and a few hardware updates that Cricut provided free of charge. So, believe me when I say - you got yours in a very good time! :)

This is such a small thing, but I really love that you take time sand and finish your edges. That eye for detail makes such a huge difference in person.

I would have found a star map and used that to map out the head board. Vivian seems super into science and having it be accurate to the night sky would have blown her mind.

I am a new cricut maker! I like making custom cards for all occasions. Most recently i made tshirts and other school decor for my "home school" Dogfarts! 🐕💨
OMGosh she's so cute and super smart. just 3 min in and I can't wait to see what you come up with for her. 20 mins later and all the projects are incredible, my favorite is the white board rocket ship, I am definitely going to try something similar to this.

One thing I wanted to point out to you is that you may want to reconsider the use of the word “pow wow”. Pow wows are an indigenous ceremony, and it’s a bit disrespectful to use it casually to say that you want to converse. I used to say it too, but someone pointed it out to me, and I’ve been learning more about indigenous culture in Canada, so we live and we learn! I thought I would pass that along to you. 😊
Don't mean to offend, but isn't this a bit over the top? Pow wow doesn't mean anything in English, as far as I know. Why is it disrespectful to use it if it is not meant to disrespect? I might as well complain about the use of the word "gift". "Gift" in German means poison and I am uncomfortable with people giving poison to others. See? It is a bit unreasonable. We don't have to mix languagues and if in doubt, assume that the person did not intend to offend.
@@walle5667 I don't think Danie meant to offend at all... but I know that she is Canadian, like I am, and that words that are rooted in indigenous culture are often used here in a way that doesn't acknowledge the true meaning. So I thought I'd point it out to Danie, because I think of her as a person who is culturally aware and sensitve so I thought she might want to know. :)
@@walle5667 indigenous peoples of Canda and America have a history of being horrifically treated and persecuted by colonizers( trail of tears, the missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada, and many more). Appropriating the names of their sacred ceremonies is beyond disrespectful. I completely understand that she meant no harm when she was saying that but isn't it always better to be called out and educated on a topic rather than continuing to use a term that could cause offense to a marginalized community?

Cereal boxes make great free and recycled chip board. I'm about to cut the alphabet out of them for our school room. I have created some intense project out of them. Throw some paint on them and you would never know what it was before.
