- Many folks mentioned the similarity of the chord progression of Glycerine by Bush to Weezer's Pork And Beans, so I thought I'd set the record straight with this video. While I was super surprised to learn the kind of chords that Gavin Rossdale used in this song, it's a rather simple tune that will be an instant add to the repertoire of a seasoned guitar player, and perfect for folks who are working on their barre chords. I love this song so much, I haven't heard it for ove a decade but recently someone asked for it on a radio show and they played it and now I'm totally obsessed listening and playing it. Tho it's a pretty simple song, Gaven plays it in numerous ways and always adds little subtle details which makes it sound just amazing. Together with his voice and the lyrics this is such a masterpiece ...

Thank you for this Ryan. Just now learned that the power chord way isn’t the proper way. It works if you don’t like barre chords but it doesn’t quite sound as full.

Yeah I've been playing power chords too and now I heard this version which sounds fuller! Gonna start mixing it up a little I reckon. Songs with the same chords over and over work well if you mix it up a little, whether it be slightly different chord variations, different strumming pattern, or just hitting top few strings/bottom few strings, etc.
I stopped the video at 1:30. I am amazed how simple this song is, and yet I have only heard two people ever play the flow of this section and cover it right: Gavin Rossdale, and Ryan Lendt.

Can I add another playlist? I came across an awesome song recently by Asking Alexandria which is not in their typical style called “Moving on”, sounds a lot like Fleetwood Mac. They’re not Pearl Jam related other than I like this song and I love Pearl Jam (too tenuous??) but might be a fun learn.

I literally cannot find anyone who knows what the ending of the song's notes are. It's too out of tune to actually transpose by ear and I can't find ANYONE who knows what it is. I love the strings at the end and I just want to know what the intervals are! What the hell
