Love your videos and just subbed! I recently Sold the Sony A7III and upgraded to the Q2 and love the ease of editing DNG versus converting all the pics on an older Mac and then trying to color grade etc - Leica definitely has the advantage. The video on the Q2 is ok if standing still but has terrible stabilization if moving - would love to hear if the SL2-S is better to video whilst walking compared to the Q2 or if you need a tripod or gimbal? Also what lenses will you use to video?

If you have the time, some feedback on using M lenses on the SL2-S would be interesting. Focus peaking with the EVF, how accurate and easy is it to use. cheers!

Got mine a few months back, used with a manual 35mm 1.4 voigtlander is a cool setup. Recently got a sigma 28-70mm 2.8 for it. The continuous auto focus is really bad I found hunting and noisey , but single autofocus is fine.
Not really used much for video stuff yet but will, I sold my Q2 to get the SL2S instead not really sure if was a good move or not really.

Hi Luis, nice video and overview. I also recently moved to the Leica Q2 and I was looking at the SL2-S. What is holding me is the size. It looks freaking huge for a mirrorless. A few years ago I sold my DSLR Canon 5DM3 as I was tired of lugging all that weight and moved to the Fuji system. While I liked the Fuji, I wasn’t happy with the files compared to full frame. What at your impressions after shooting for a few months? Thank you.
Great stuff as always. Congrats buddy. I totally feel that urge to add to my Q2 also lol. I have the a7III and a7SIII and so many lenses that I will be sticking with that system primarily but feeling like an M10R is in my near future as my next Leica. Simply can’t beat the feel of a Leica body. Can’t wait to see your work with this beauty!

I believe you can with a capture card.
Greetings, is it true the external 12 bit raw via hdmi is with a crop and not the full sensor? What formats are available via HDMI?
I’ve been really tempted to save up for the SL2S. Seems like the most well rounded Leica. I do worry about the autofocus though.
Yeah, autofocus is the one thing I'm going to test out extensively.
Congratulations on your purchase. I came from the Nikon world, but I stumbled on a leica store in Miami and tried the leica sl and the medium format S and have been hooked ever since. The colors, quality of the build of the cameras and the lenses. Find at least one of the native lenses to use with your camera. You won't regret it. I saved for quite a while to buy into the system, but I've fallen in love with the colors from the SL and most recently the Leica s007, with the 100mm f2. Enjoy!!

I also started out with a Leica Q2 and ended up with an SL2. I am very happy with both cameras. And, btw. the SIGMA 35mm f2.0 is a great lens!
Man I would love to see an in depth review on this. Been eying one for a bit, I have a canon R5 and it’s great, but I don’t love the video image I get out of it and I still have had some overheating issues even after the firmware updates. This looks like it could fit the hybrid bill nicely. I’m concerned about the auto focus though… anyways I just found your channel and your stuff is great and I look forward to your full thoughts, subbed!
Can you show how to edit image on Lightroom, from leica without useing preset too ,
Use 2 of these for my weddings and love them. I have 7 batteries though as it eats the batteries

Yeah the EVF definitely sucks battery big time. The extended mode I use with photos seems to work with me.

I bought a Q2, and now I HATE shooting with my a7iii when I need it. It feels so “plasticy”. Time for an SL2-s. Damn you, Leica. Lmao.
