  • spent the day collecting beautiful garnets labradorite "Deathrock " in the Adirondack mountains of New York. it's so beautiful there all year round. make sure to visit yourselves

    Hey I just finished your video and I’m itching to go up north n find lab & the garnets! I’m from the FINGERLAKES area in NewYork. I mine Herkimer diamonds in the summer and have this one spot I go rockhounding n find all sorts of awesome pieces!

    Been to that garbet mine, only reason they are fractured so bad is while blasting they used way too much and destroyed everything.

      P.S. black flies in spring are bad. Go in early fall...

      Dude theres a channel here called Crystal Wisdom, the lady does a good job showing start to finish how to do laborodite , its tricky

    You probably already know this but you can outwit the auto-focus function by using the palm of your hand. Cup the rock in your palm and then point the camera.

      I appreciate ya watching the videos. I'm all over the place in the north east but expanding my travels every time I get a vacation. Heading south this winter for 2 weeks to do some fair weather collecting down there while it's crappy in NY lol. But I'm out every weds n Thursday collecting so more videos to come

    I'm considering taking my kids to the Barton garnnet mine. Is it something you'd recommend . We live in the capital region any good place you could recommend would be appreciated

      Ausible chasm in Keene for labradorite, Barton is good for garnets. That whole area is. Richard hill is loaded with fossils. Ilion gorge for travertine. Any of the hero mines. There’s a lot of stuff depending how far u are willing to day trip.

    That repetitive music is too annoying to watch your video and listen to what you say
