Because the kids that would stand by and do nothing are scared themselves of getting themselves involved in something that doesn't concern them. Should people help those that can't defend themselves, absolutely. It's about having the heart, courage, and bravery to fight the bullies that pick on the weak.
I mean the bullies that claim to be strong and that act tough really show their coward side when the valiant stands up to those that do fight for the weak and they choose to back down and retreat. Bullies aren't strong and tough enough to bring the ruckus to those that are ready to throw down.
Thanks to these strangers who have the courage to stand up for the kid. We need more people like this in the world?

The type of people that are bullies are just self conscious, jealous, and will do anything to put others down just to feel better about themselves because they, themselves are so damaged internally. Regardless of what you were bullied for, the fact that you were able to persevere, only proves how much stronger of a person you have ALWAYS been, even if it didn't seem that way at the time. As a victim of being bullied myself back in school days in the 90's, i know exactly what this can do to you, mentally.. If only i had people standing up for me like that back then. Thankfully after moving school a couple of times, and found the best friends, i could finally finish school years and look back at those losers, with a smile on my face.
Simple fact is, people doing the bullying, are the ones with the real problems. Always remember that, anyone who reads this, and can relate.
I am very glad that there are still kind caring people out there in the world today, especially in the time we live in these days. When I was 10 yrs old, a school mate used to hit me on the head and pushed me every time he saw me, I didn't wanna go to school anymore so I told my dad about it, he asked how old the kid was, I said about the same as me, he said, next time he messes with, you fight him, but I was too afraid of him, so my dad bought boxing gloves and made me fight all the neighborhood kids. To my surprise I enjoyed boxing, with every fight I became more confident in my boxing abilities, to make the story short, one day my class mate made the mistake of hitting me on the head, I turned around and busted his nose, and knocked him out he was bleeding so profusely, he couldnt react to hit me back. After that no one messed with me anymore....

This is part of what happened to me throughout my childhood, and unlike the film, I couldn't get help at the time, and my unfortunate childhood made me encounter this different kind of thing, but people around me just kept silent and worried and got into trouble.
Let me give advice, if when you encounter bullying, the huge power may make you unable to move, if when you are lucky enough to meet someone to help, you must remember the name of the benefactor, remember to repay, remember to thank and be grateful.

Back in 5th grade I was sitting in class and this bully just kicks my bag and curses at me and insulting my height in front of the teacher, I was a sensitive girl. The teacher legitemately just told me to control myself. Dude I wasn't even planning on fighting I was just crying.
It went on for about 5 god damn minutes and he stopped voluntarily prob got bored.
TEACHER DID NOTHING. Then I told my adviser. he talked to him and said that, that wasnt a good thing to do especially to a girl. And thats it. Thats literally it. Got no disciplinary action and later that day I went back from break to find my bag with the wheels thing that you pull like a trolley school bag, someone tied it around with yarn and idk how they did it but it was stuck there good, probably an entire yarn. Of course I did suspect it was the bully, but I didn't have evidence and so yeah, that bag had to be replaced and Im honestly so pissed that my mother had to spend money on a new bag.
Nevertheless, if I someone throws that shit on me again, Im gonna have a bloody pen. I always carry one because clicking them is satisfying XD

Im a child advocate for years now
At first it really breaks me to see the young kid being bullied ( although i know its just an act )
Bullying is like a cancer in our society today and it should be stopped!
I salute those people out there willing to defend the rights of the children

It’s great sure would love to see kids more than adults getting involved. Adults are great role models, but kids involved means the message is getting absorbed.

Teachers never do anything!! Its like they just don't care... Even though there are NO BULLYING posters everywhere! They should really care and be "teachers".
Golino Gaming I can't speak for all teachers but I'm a teacher that can't stand bullying with a passion. I teach my students from day one to treat people how you want to be treated. I have a son in school as well and I'll be quick to be up at the school about anyone bullying him. I do wish more teachers could stand up more about BULLYING. It's really sad and it's not right. I can say in my classroom I won't ever allow it not one bit! #TEAM NO BULLYING!!!

Actually, my PRINCIPAL knew I was getting bullied and all that happened was a different classroom...
Funfact, the school had a 'No Tolerance' thing for bullies...

Golino Gaminggay right I have been bullied the teachers seen but didn't do anything but was like aye y'all stop and the kids started back they sometimes get suspended but come right back and start all over again then they get sent home again and come back still bullying me TBH the world doesn't care anymore
