And people say Disney is "just a vacation" or "just for fun".... that it's not an educational field trip..... Uhhh CLEARLY they don't know ANYTHING! Disney seems to be a homeschooler's PLAYGROUND! Wilderness/frontier history leading into geology leading into biology and maybe even physics (sorting and separating mixtures by the water method).... I love collecting rocks and gems and have a whole collection. I can tell you right now, all the rocks they got? Probably well worth the $30! Especially with the bigger ones that might sell for 5-10 bucks a piece, if not more, from some people. The littler ones are probably 10 to 50 cents each at some places, if not a dollar or so, too! And even if they are a little under the $30, it's also the experience you pay for, too. I think it's a GREAT deal!

We're doing this in just a couple of weeks. My girls decided they'd rather do the gem mining than mini golf.
We were there just last week. The Mother Lode bag is absolutely worth the difference in price.
There were a lot of different gems, rocks and fossils in that one
