Ezekiel Nduli it doesn’t matter if he went for the ball, he still hit the opposition in the stomach. That’s like saying that a red shouldn’t be given for a studs up challenge into the shin, just as long as he went for the ball
@@quackintosh9055 I don't disagree with you. I just feel that the decision was harsh on the goal keeper. He wanted to take out his frustration on the ball and an opponent gets in the way. I really feel bad that he got se t off for that.
@Otaku hunter at 2:32 you can clearly see him looking at the ball preparing to take action against it. You talk about what the keeper sees in his peripheral vision. You forget that at 2:32 the clip is in slow motion. So the time to react to what you can see in a split second is not accounted for.
And again, yes the rules a clear that he should be sent off. Were I a ref I'd be compelled to do the same. But it's really hard on him, considering the fact that the player wasn't even his target.
It doesn't matter its violent conduct and a red every time.

Why? It's a penalty per the LoTG and the referees got it right.
@@nightfury8440 It's a technicality. The player didn't interfere with play, he just happened to touch the ball, hit straight at him, while it was slightly in the field of play. Yes, it is technically against the rules. And yes, the correct call is to award a penalty. But fair play would be to sky the penalty, because...."come on, Ref. Really?"

@@nightfury8440 there is nothing right about that call. Its an absurd interpretation of the rules to rule that anything but a corner or goal kick. Essentially punishing players for warming up in the space they are given to them. Absurd ruling. The player changed absolutely nothing about the play and that is 100% evident. The fact this was called a penalty honeslty hurts me, logic needs to take precidence over words in a rulebook when it comes to something like that.
@@AkBirdman17 The rulebook that I remember would not warrant a PK. Yellow for the player and a freeball. But penalty? Why? Makes no sense.

I'm so used to seeing FairPlay videos from the bundesliga I half expected the penalty to be kicked out for a goal kick, and to be honest I am slightly disappointed it wasn't.
Regarding number 5, isn't there VAR in Germany? Clearly the keeper didn't mean it, and clearly the attacker makes a meal of the contact... Bizarre decision.

I do that Lewandowski miss very much in PES. I think I am just in front of goal, a straight shot would be enough, but turns out that I was a bit off the goal and not in front. Even then Lewy, miss went right next to the post.

Number one was a little harsh maybe just yellow card but a penalty? He wasn't even obstructing play, the ball would have gone out anyways.
That penalty at the made no sense, horrible call by the referee! Same as the red card for Zieler, that should've been a yellow. Both moments had nothing to do with the game. A good referee makes an exception in those kind of situations.
