I studied phobias as a topic during my A-Level Psychology course and it was probably my favourite topic of the whole subject! I found it interesting how some phobias are innately driven, like avoiding things that are threats to survival like predators, heights and water, and then some phobias are environmentally determined through real life events that are traumatic for an individual! I have a minor euphobia but it developed as a part of childhood with massive promises being made and then being severely let down with no reasonable explanation as to why and eventually I just developed a distrust for good news or any one making promises or bearing good news. It's similar to the fear of rejection. You get rejected enough and you start being afraid of rejection or even blaming yourself for being rejected

I had the Phobia of Heights when I was a kid. My parents started to be bad towards me since I was little so I decided to take matters in my own hand. The only way to not be weak is by getting rid of your Phobia. Well, my parents don't celebrate any event so each time, when people are decorating their houses for Christmas, I stand on the edge of the roof of my house( I had those roof which can be upgraded again costing cheaper and the roof is flat ) and I look down(3 stories) for 8 years.
I stopped being scared of heights since 2019. Now nothing scares me. :)
I may have that fear of good news thing, so basically, years ago, I am in first place in our class and I was super scared because first placers have to make a speech and talk in front of many people. And so after that, whenever I win something I get scared because I don't know what to do, how to talk about how you won something, will my friends get jealous, are the people who lost angry, all of these thoughts go inside my head that I kind of wish that I didn't win.

One of my hobbies is phobia study some of the ones I’ve seen (that are weird but not the weirdest): fear of men, fear of women, fear of stairs/staircases/escalators, fear of doors, fear of rooms, fear of houses, fear of buildings, fear of air and air related things (cyclones, hurricanes, tornadoes, choking, etc.), fear of colours, fear of shades, fear of numbers, fear of letters, fear of paper, fear of words, fear of long words, fear of disabled people, fear of washing/bathing, fear of sourness, and many many more (the reason I’m not putting the weirdest I’ve heard is to avoid specific explanations on it in case I get it wrong)
