I focus mostly on teaching âModern RPâ (I may just say âRPâ in my older videos, but to clarify, I do specifically mean âModern RPâ), however, you will hear a lovely little Yorkshire twang to my accent from time to time too. Pronunciation with Emma found it! Thanks!!!!!!
Omg you know Indonesia, and thats wonderful for me. Love you đ
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the video I mention about for + gerund. We use the gerund after "for" when we're talking about the function of something. So, for example, in the sentence "She came to my house for using the wifi?", "for using" isn't really a function here. However, in the context of "I use this knife for cutting bread", here it sounds like the knife's function is only to cut bread. Another example, "This spray is for cleaning the windows", here the only function of the spray is to clean windows, nothing else! I hope this clears any doubts about for + gerund. đ

Thank u so much mam
Thank you Emma your video. I hope you make more videos like this I really enjoyed it.
Thanks
All of my answers are correct đ I had the same question about "for using", but you've already answered it, thanks a lot for good explanation đ
I actually made a section where I explained it but it made the video too long, sadly some people have short attention spans and would never click on a 6 minute video about to and for đ Glad I helped you though! I think I may add it into my pinned comment in case people have the same question in the future. :)
@@Pronunciationwithemma how impatient people can beđ As for me, I would like to see a long video!âș it's a good idea to pin your comment;)
I finally understand it.đ
I always have an impression that Emma is constantly ready to smile or laugh.
That's because I am! đ
A smile and a laugh cost nothing, but they can change a person's day completely.
You are a bright person. We love you.
very very tnx mam
You really helped me with this video. I just suggest you do one about when we use gerund and infinitive after a verb. For example, after like, enjoy, love, hate, stop etc. See youđ
Haha! That's pretty random if I'm honest. You can find lists of them online :)
Hello Emma!
How's it going
I really like your videos a lot to be honest with you.
Thx a bunch for your efforts.
I hope you're gonna answer on my comment.
Thx again I'm really grateful for you and I appreciate that.đčđč
Hi Emma!thanks for the explanation, was very usefull.May you explain me about the sentences finish with a preposition?Greeting from Argentina
Hey Marylin!
Well, if you take a look at the dusty old grammar rule books, they will tell you "never end a sentence with a preposition". However, MANY people do end sentences with prepositions and that's absolutely fine. It's considered fairly formal sounding to end a sentence with a preposition in a lot of cases. This link explains it in more detail for you - en.oxforddictionaries.com/grammar/ending-sentences-with-prepositions
