Seeing the footage of Tim Duncan crying about Kobe's death literally broke me! They were rivals, and ultimate competitors, but they were very close friends!
They were friends he was devastated
I was at their last game together in Staples Center. Seeing them interact during dead ball situations was really cool. This comment definitely hits home.
Easily the two greatest players of the 2000s.
+drews0n two *of*
+PapaJenkinz Id say Kobe and Timmy is the best bet.AI never got a ring and other than that no player took over for a long stretch. For a while even without a rind TMAC,AI and Vince Carter all had good cases but age caught up.
+Matthew Boyd *ring
+PapaJenkinz there's no other player resumes that out shine there's since jordan retired
Shaq...
Heartbreaking man. I was looking forward to seeing them at their hall of fame ceremony this year.
💔
We got a glimpse of what they could have achieved as a team when they played in the all star game. I could just imagine what these two would have accomplished playing together on an nba team. Two of my all time Favs!!
I didn't get a parent signature to go on this feels trip
anikam13 nice nice ahhahah
Two legends. The game won't be the same without them...
yea it will
+Prime Time we'll see plenty more people like Kobe but probably not as good. As for Duncan there will NEVER be anyone like him
+Riley Cluney Agree with you
Don't worry Curry is here.
+HipHopLover93 R&BLover93 are you serouis lol😂😂
from 1999 to 2010 these 2 were best of the best to hit the court.
Since 1999 and 2014 these two players dominated the West.
I can't imagine kobe and tim gone :(( the game will never be the same
doubt it
+KFC Bucket and kfc
once paul pierce, dirk, and vince carter retire, it will officially be the end of an era
NickDaGawd u forgot Ginoboli
Aged terribly
Rest Easy Kobe. Timmy has always been my all time favorites but this is as good as it gets 😭😭😭
Rip Kobe , from a life long Spurs fan since '89.
1/26/2020
A True Legend.
RIP legend
Wanted to see both of these 2000's legends end up in the hall of fame. Kings with two different playing styles that revolutionized basketball. Always bred to compete to win Basketball's greatest honours, whilst winning our hearts as well.
imagine Kobe and Tim together. lord that would've been a reign
Yup. They would have been what Kobe and Gasol was but 10 times better.
Duncan will be the first player to play to 50 lol
dont forget dirk
+SlamDunk Comedy can you explain please
+Christian Brown difference is tim still plays defense
+A.R. Smith 😂😂😂 but dirk avg 18ppg this season
Christian Brown good for him. those timbs are fire btw
Old man riverwalk and the black mamba... Both in the Top 10 greatest players of all time conversation
Bird-Magic rivalry of the 2000s. Gonna miss you Kobe and I think Duncan’s gonna miss you more.💔
R.i.p kobe i will always remember these battles
These two greatest were able to amass 10 rings - imagine for a moment there, how many rings could these two GOATS have gotten had they played together on the same team either Lakers or Spurs? It's scary even to fahtom. The NBA would've been owned by Bryan and Duncan. There was always a mutual respect between these two dudes. Great competitiors.
These were the memories growing up a spurs fan! Rip Kobe! Thank you for everything
Probably the most underrated rivalries/matchups of all time
Love seeing Kobe go against my favorite player of all time. RIP Mamba! Thank you for everything you did for the game Kobe!!
RIP black mamba and gigi Bryant. Tim duncan my all time favorite player I'm a spurs fan and I I'm glad I witnessed those 2 go at for 19 years . Kobe Bryant ther will never be another. Jan 26th 2020 was a sad day for the world. Legends live forever
Would love to see a documentary on these two, they had a lot of historic games together. 2 GOATS going head to head. The NBA isn't the same without Duncan and Kobe.
Timmy cried hard for your Kobe. 💔
Imagine Duncan and Kobe together.... Probably 10 rings
A lot of respect between the two
FUCK MAN!!! This rivalry was the best I've seen...as a Spurs fan these guys were the faces of the 2000's...last to win 5 rings...they are/were suppose to be in the same HOF class together...they are/were last of a dying breed that stayed loyal to 1 team...its gonna be weird seeing Duncan give his HOF speech without Kobe there...RIP KOBE
Kobe's a legend...
As is Duncan
@Greg Hubbard fuck of hater.
@Greg Hubbard You can call him overrated all you want but that doesn't change the fact that he's a Legend. Denying that makes you an ignorant fool so do yourself a favor and just accept facts.
Two all-time greats who left in their own way. Kobe had a farewell tour while Tim left quietly, it sums up both players personalities, playstyles and careers perfectly
Gives me tears 😭 watching this
5 championships a piece #legends
Gotta love them both!! for me TD is the best.. something about his consistency. From the day he was drafted in Spurs in 1997 to his retirement from Spurs and NBA in 2016... There was never a moment where you think his magic was gone. There was a losing season like any team... But there was NO CONSECUTIVE losing season like Kobe or Shaq or LeBron.. for 19 years he was CONSISTENT. QUIET. HUMBLE. THE BEST POWER FORWARD who stumped Shaq.. Shaq couldn't even get past him. TD🐐🐐🐐🐐
Two of Greats, no doubt. From 96-2015. Tim & Kobe accounted for 10 of 19 championships won... and 13 of 19 finals appearances. They definitely dominated that era in time.
These two are the very definition of their basketball generation. You cannot tell the narrative of their era without mentioning one AND/OR the other.
I love when 2 all time greats have that mutual respect for each other
R.I.P BLACK MAMBA san anto tejas will forever miss you
😥RIP Kobe. They don’t ever make them like you, you were truly 1 of a kind. ❤️
It's crazy thinking about it but it's amazing how both of these guys stayed with the same team throughout their careers. Loyalty and heart.
Two great legends 🏆
Legends, respect.
RIP Kobe we all love and miss you.
If one of their team was in a different conference, they would probably almost meet at every finals. Imagine, they won 10 chips combined out of 20 seasons from 1996-2016. And their respecitve team went to the finals 10 times from 1999-2010. Only 1 season they didnt go to the finals (2006). That's just so amazingly crazy.
Despite the battles and rivalry of these two, you recognize how much they have the greatest respect for each other. Both were class act. We will never see any rivalry of such loyalty and greatness again like Timmy and Kobe had.😢
im so glad i watch these two played in their prime
I love Kobe Bryant so much.
Kobe he's a LEGEND

Timmy im gonna missssss u
Now we lost one of the greatest who ever played the game, rest in peace mamba
2 of the best 213 and the 210texas
Greatest players of the 2000s. The West was stacked with competition and the Spurs and Lakers still owned that decade.
I don't usually like to compare players from different positions. but In terms of who had the most polished career in terms of winning rather than skillset (not comparable). I'd have to give the slight edge to duncan due to the fact that he's remained a main part of such a great winning team for so long and we haven't even missed the playoffs or had below 50 wins in every season since he's been here! much respect to Kobe tho, one of my favorites growing up, I'm gonna miss him.... for some reason it seemed like he would never retire.... and as for duncan, he's given us as much as we can ask for and can retire tomorrow and we wouldn't get mad at him one bit.
Tim is my favorite PF of all-time, KG a close second.
These two would own this league rn
That was da bomb!
Kobe Bryant Greatest Lakers of All Time 18 All-Stars Appearances 5 Championships, League MVP All NBA First TeamSecond3rd Tim Duncan #21 Greatest San Antonio Spurs to play the game 15 All-Star NOTE 1999 No All Star Lock Down Season Most likely selected 5 Championships and 2 MVP All Star Game MVP Co-MVP 2000' Amazing
To see how Duncan was so shook up and affected by kobe passing said it all genuine respect
They are like mirrors of each other, similar but different in many ways. Both played in one franchise their entire careers and won 5 rings, while Kobe played for the big market Lakers who wore a flashy purple and gold scheme while Tim played for the small market spurs who were known for their subtle black and gray scheme. Both were leaders in their teams while Kobe was a scorer and shoot first guard who took impossible and flashy shots while Tim was a fundamental player who stuck with defense and safe shots. Both loved the game but expressed it differently; Kobe was known for being emotional and overtly passionate while Tim was known for being calm and reserved.
wish they would have got a catch to play on same team together KOBE said SA was on his list of 3
R.I.P Kobe.
Black Mamba and the big fundamental!
i love. it
Rip kobe Bryant
Timmy duncan king of finesses
This two destroyed every other superstar dream to become champion on their era 10 championship 4 mvps combined my gosh
