Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Tim Duncan were the perfect players for Pop. What an era. It was generational chemistry.
What I find so remarkable is how under the radar they flew until the playoffs, but it felt so odd because they were consistently a top 3 seed. Even then, with that chemistry, they never butt heads and said they wanted more touches or more money. They kept it strictly within the family and got it done. It's a testament to how great they are.
If your superstar can take a hit once in a while, then everyone else can shut the hell up and fall in line.
Tim Duncan is the greatest teammate and most coachable player ever.
That's powerful stuff, and seeing Pop choke up before being able to say it. Timmy's humility meant so much for the team and their success.
tears coming down to my eyes, what a such beautiful human being.love you Timmy
A pod of Dolphins scares off the biggest shark.
Pop is a special human being
Pops comedy here is better then Blake Griffins lol
how can you not like this team? it's class personified.
Greatest coach and player relationship ever.
Probably the greatest coach and player relationship in the history of sports
For sure
Maybe, just maybe, jeter and joe torre but that’s coming from a yanks fan so I’m biased. I’d say it’s most definitely this one
@@benyounger4094not even close. but i’m a sox fan so i hate the yankees 😂
Easily
4:18 😢
His bond with Tim Duncan is really like faher and son. The storm that ravaged Tim's home is really destiny which resulted Tim pursuing basketball and go to the NBA and be with Pop.
In him, I see humility. Thanks for what you had done for the sport.
You can Really see the Father Son Relationship/Closeness between Tim and Popp, they truly one of the best if not the best Coach Player Duos ever man
what a magnificent story-telling guy
If this doesn't move you to tears, then i dont know what will
Timmy will forever be the greatest powerforeward ever .
So touching
I still can't stop on getting emotional
everytime i watch this i cried..😢
#MissYouTIMMY
Same
You can tell Pop loves Timmy
To the spurs, till at least during the twin towers and big 3 era Pop is like a father or second father figure, just like the great late red aurbach, the players love and want to please him just as how he love them through tough love
Loved his existence on the court
The last real 4 year college player that turned out to be top 10 all time.
top 5 if we’re being honest
I see Popovich. I click like.
First, I'm a Laker fan. Second, Kawhi please stay with Pop, I like you as a Laker fan and it will be really great if you join the team, but personally I respect Gregg Popovich more than that.
Ocelottt yeah he didn't listen lol
Nope
One of the last teams in the NBA with old school order ... now most teams made the players the boss
Love these men so much
4:26
Listen to what he's saying. That's why we love Duncan
100%
and that stare couple seconds before that. it shows how much appreciation and love he have for timmy.
Pop could be a strong presidential candidate
pure class!
"We got boats" -Gregg Popovich
We miss Tim Duncan
Anybody here after tim got announced into the Hall of Fame?
Me
It's truly baffling how someone could look at Greg Popovich---the person, the human, the leader---then look at someone like Donald Trump and say "THAT's my guy. Pop sucks".
Pop and the Spurs Big 3 combination of success, professionalism, humanity, and modesty is virtually unparalleled in the history of sports. And it's something we may never see again in the NBA.
Why do people feel the need to inject politics into every aspect of life?
@@georgesears2666 You surely can't be referring to me, as it's a pretty well established fact that many Trump supporters vehemently hate Pop for his political views and thoughts on the former President.
@@georgesears2666 intelectual people don’t usually side with a bigot’s pov’s so i can see why Pop was so hated by the right wing people. it’s not about their policies, but w the sheer ignorance for other’s struggles and the fact he (Trump) was constantly stirring the pot w POC
Joey Crawford: Technical foul for laughing and crying. I'm just kidding, Happy Retirement!
I didn't realize Timmy was such a diva. Way more than KD. I mean getting your coach to buy you carrot cake for 20 years? Man Timmy.
😂😂😂😂😂
#pop4president
Pop choked and I understand that

John De Luca weak minded mute!
