I might be wrong, but I get the feeling that Sabaton's music isn't just about teaching history. but that the three most important things of all, is that we learn from history, to honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice on the battlefield, and that we never forget this.

True. It's also about helping people to understand the perspectives of soldiers. There was a time when most people had close friends or relatives in the military. That is no longer the case. Because of that, and because of the poor quality of the educational system, many people don't have any idea what it's like to be a soldier. They don't even know what motivates soldiers to fight.
It's dangerous to democracy when most civilians lack even a basic understanding of the military and of war.
Seeing Sabaton live is the best thing ever, seen them 8 times and hoping for more!
This song popped up in memes, I was like these guys sound epic I should check them out. Then one day I put this song on and I was hooked they are the number one band on my Spotify list

I love your energy when you do these videos. How much you get into the music is phenomenal! I would have killed to have had a girlfriend like you back in high school. Someone to just rock out with at whatever concerts we could have gone to. You are awesome!
Tommy (who is the cousin to a close friend of mine) is soooo multi talanted when it comes to music. He plays multiple instruments at an expert level and also is a realy great vocalist. Probably the best in Sabaton, even tho his voice probably does not rly fit the sabaton music as well as joakims does.

If you liked Sabaton, I highly recommend the band 1914. They capture the feel of what The Great War was, Hell on Earth. Don’t Tread on Me, Stoßtrupp 1917, …A Cross Now Marks His Place, Frozen in Tenches (Christmas Truce), etc. They are a fantastic band from Ukraine, so they are dealing with that right now.

The song really hits different if you know anyone that serves but the song is specifically about soldiers during the 30 years war, a war that devastated Europe because of diseases and such.

The swiss guard were mercenaries. Mercenaries are groups of soldiers who fight for anyone that pays them good money they werent necessarily a swiss army.
