I was a freshman in college when this was first broadcast. I got together with a couple of buddies and we watched this in my room. When Elizabeth, the human baby, stuck its tongue out, we could hear the girls in our dorm cry out. A few minutes later when the lizard baby poked its head out, all the girls in the dorm started screaming in sheer horror. The head resident and the R.A. In the dorm raced around trying to find out what the hell was going on. Meanwhile my buddies and I sat there laughing our asses off. Nothing like college memories

One of the most brilliant shock moment’s in tv history. That distorted disembodied noise the twin makes is creepy as all hell. Brian’s ultimate fate was all the more deserving because of it. A magnificent show. Too bad Kenneth Johnston was not behind the Final Battle. His novelisation of the original series’ sequel is superb.
I just introduced my 4 kids to this series tonight (purchased on AppleTV). It was awesome. My 11 year old was blown away by the reveal. My two 8 year old fraternal twins watched this birth with great interest. And my 6 year old daughter freaked the hell out when Elizabeth produced the forked tongue!! Brought me right back to all the emotions I had as a kid! My twins also commented on the perfectly creepy music, which is so true. Such a great series!!

True story: back when this mini-series was on (before the tv show) I was young so it was past my bedtime. I sneaked out of my bedroom, tip toed down the hall and peaked into the living room to see what my parents were watching. This is what I saw that night.
Omg- this was one of the most terrifying memories of my childhood. Fast forward 40 years and having delivered thousands of babies by C-section myself, this is a hilarious scene. I couldn’t stop laughing at it just having viewed it again. Soo many medical mistakes, errors in how C-section maneuvers are performed, OR staff without hats, gloves and eye protection, no blood and if only all babies just delivered themselves like that second twin! LOL. Knowledge is freedom. This movie was an interesting step toward disclosure however. Thanking you for allowing me to completely shift a core memory from my childhood from fear to humor. I literally feel like I waved my wand at a bogart!

I found this series on Vudu and bought it right away. I remember watching this scene as a teenager thinking it was impossible that something that big was in Robin's belly. I figured she was having a nightmare after she went to sleep from drug they gave her. It's also interesting how different my perception of this series is now that I'm grown.

It died because of that toxin in it that was a hybrid of our bacteria and theirs. That helped the resistance get the red dust which insured them a victory.
Its immune system wasn't strong enough to handle a certain kind of naturally occurring bacteria in the air. That's how they were able to come up with the Red Dust, from the Visitor child's blood.
Moral of the story: When one baby has a forked tongue, and the second one comes out on its own power looking at you like "Whaddup," you're probably not gonna wanna go on "Maury" to find out who the father is. Some things are seriously best forgotten...

All we saw was the news desk and the anchor's feet sticking up in the air. You know, like he'd fainted and fallen backwards. lmao
This scene, when Diana ate a hamster and when the girl transformed into an adult in the cave had me petrified when I was little. The whole family was hooked on this show
I remember it as well, was so cool. Was sadden the second child died, was worried be rejected and hated. but at the end they comforted the baby in the final moments and passed away peacefully.
