    I just made this and followed each step as you say. It was soooo delicious!! I can't find all the traditional ingredients like ogeri and palm oil, but I still used Japanese style roasted sesame seeds I had in my pantry to get the right flavor. I never had a dish like this okro stew before! :) The slow simmering of each vegetable to build up the flavor is key! The lazy me would just put all the vegetables into the pot at once and simmer, but I think it wouldn't be the same lol. Thank you for sharing your vegan version!!

    I've this okra stew but as approved by Dr. Sebi Alkaline. I used dried porcini mushrooms add the smokiness as the smoked fish would add to this delicious meal. I added sliced burro bananas instead of rice which made me fall more in love with this dish. Also can use liquid smoke to add that smokiness as well. Thanks for your video.

      It is sesame seeds that’s fermented and then roasted.

    Sesame turns to go bitter really quickly when it's roasted....

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  Před 4 lety

      It must be fermented first to bring out its sweetness, and then it is roasted. Properly made ogeri has no bitterness 🙏🏽🙏🏽😅

    You are too much. Keep it up. Just wanna ask, please anytime I bake bread, the under part of it becomes hard. Secondly, I'm in Ghana and most of us don't have the cup you use for measuring flour but I know in baking, measurement is key. Please is it possible to use the small milk container to tell me how many of that makes up the cup u have been using for baking bread etc

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  Před 4 lety

      The small milk container you’re referring to makes one cup. 🙏🏽😘

    I am sorry that does not look like anything I want to eat and I love the vegan okra stew. The vegetables are way too BIG and just to many. Its a simple stew and it looks like you went to your garden and threw all the vegetables in the okra stew.
