Back in the 80s, my friends and I ran a 10K in South Boston, and after the race, one buddy who was of Irish descent spotted an Irish flag painted on a brick wall, and so we took a picture of him standing next to it. When we got the photo developed, somehow we missed "No Niggers" scrawled on the wall next to the painted flag. We were horrified! But Boston has a bad racial history, and that history while it may have improved is still quite troubled. 😢

Truth hurts...Boston is as Boston does.
The truth that should really hurt, but doesn't, is the community is as the community does. For the most part people treat other people the way they deserve to be treated. You shouldn't expect anyone not to avoid the same people that you yourself avoid. It's just disingenuous nonsense. Police your youngsters better and things will improve. Don't, and they won't. It's up to you so don't blame anybody else.
Boston has had some black eyes as far as racial harmony. LeBron is no saint either.
