Sometimes. Sometimes. Not always, but sometimes you can tell a LOT by the little things. No deep dives needed. Maybe when you date someone awhile and you tell yourself “Shit, I should of looked in that medicine cabinet” My point is, all the proof you need between AEW and WWE is that media scrum (no not that one) I mean the one when Toni Storm put that hat and glasses on TK. Imagine if that exact same situation happened with HHH or VKM sitting there. That would of never been attempted, if it was, they would of took that shit off in 1 second. Tony Khan sat there with that shit on for so long he “forgot he was wearing it” Why? Because he wants to be part of the party and media and pats on the back, he thinks it’s cute to sit there and hug his employees like a kid hugging Santa Clause. The others are trying to run a business. Period. That shit would not fly in WWE. You cannot run a business respectfully when the talent thinks it’s cute to do what she did. Imagine what we don’t see.

The best insults in the argument at the end was Triple H's "At least I known the touch of a woman" and by Tony Khan "I tell you to ask your father-in-law but you are busy looking the other way" Those insults were good dingers (coming from someone who been in those insult fests with siblings)

Nice to see I'm not the only one who doesn't really care about Punk. Didn't care when he was in AEW (I had already given up on it at that point anyways) and I haven't really cared that he is now back in WWE. That segment on RAW between Punk, Drew, and Seth is one of the few times I've ever enjoyed him... and honestly it was more Drew and Seth than anything Punk said, but he still had some moments I liked.
For the most part AEW's main problem for me in those first couple years when I tried watching it is I just didn't care about any of the characters so I didn't get into the stories that they tried... the rare times they bothered with storytelling that is. Hell at that time I wasn't even watching RAW or Smackdown that much either and mostly just watched NXT because I liked the characters and stories more which got me more invested into the matches.
Oh and don't get me started on the whole internet tribalism culture war shit. I am bored with, pissed at, and tired of both sides of that shit. I am fed up with the dipshits always looking for some for of bigotry in everything and I am especially fed up with the shit-stains calling everything woke. Two sides to the same whiny performative outrage coin. It is why I avoid most social media like the plague, and why I am very careful/selective about what I do use.
And one final thing... never play that fucking Jericho clip ever again. Fuck, I think my ears are bleeding. I mean I was never impressed with his singing, but holy shit I didn't realize he was that terrible without studio clean up.

Great episode very fair and called out both sides hypocrites. Jericho singing was hilarious I couldn’t tell if he was serious or not. Thx you for acknowledging the wwe fans flipping on the punk hate. The only push back is so far he seems to to be more positive but I guess time will tell. The fact that nxt exist helps with his need to be a leader… in AEW it probably wasn’t received well because they aren’t new.

The hypocrisy. The tipping point was when Cornette allowed Brian Last to categorize the "roll of quarters" trope as anti-semetic. Besides the fact that Last refers to half italian/half Jewish girls as "Pizza Bagels ", Jim's job is to correct people who don't understand pro wrestling. Instead he allowed Last to make an angle into something it wasn't. Then when Cornette was riffing on Will Hobbs booking he created this picture of Hobbs as a poverty stricken youth who couldn't even afford television so therefore could not have grown up idolizing Jericho. My problem was with the absurd notion that Hobbs couldn't idolize a white wrestler. Jim hired Dlo Brown. A CPA whose favorite wrestler was Owen Hart. Don't mind race based heat it just has to make sense. And you can't choose a group that's off limits. Thank you for asking
