Mugwort totally took care of my acne when I was a teenager in Korea. My sister had a facial steamer that had a small built in container where we put dried mugwort. The smell was heavenly. I used it every night for 5 minutes for three weeks. Acne gone, clearer skin surfaced. I am a huge fan of mugwort ever since. It is underrated in the US for sure.

Just found your channel about a week ago, and I wanted to say thank you for changing my life. I've dealt with acne for over 14 years and never knew how important hydration was to fight acne. I literally cannot thank you enough. My face has been looking much better lately and all I do now is cleanse with cera ve, spray orange blossom water and witch hazel on my face constantly throughout the day, drink a looootttt of water, and take liquid glucosamine chondroitin with MSM. I know not all those are things you specifically recommended, but you did say collagen production plays a big role in appearance of pores so I put two and two together. I want to buy some high linoleic acid oils soon to add to the routine. For now I use watermelon glow moisturizer but I might switch it up to one of the other ones recommended in this video. Thank you times a million!!! Forever a subscriber 💙💙💙
EDIT: UPDATE: So this might sound crazy, but lately I started to eat plain rice everyday and my skin has improved significantly. I don't know the science behind it, but eating rice reduced my acne (no salt or oil added). Hope this helps someone somewhere.

My biggest problem that you helped me with is that I never moisturized my oily skin, I never got acne or any pimples until I was 12 and it made me so depressed and even my dermatologist couldn’t help so I thought if I strip my skin it will become dry but it made it worse but ever since I started using you’re tips and hacks and all of the products my skin has been really nice

I totally agree with everything Liah said about silicones and I also want to remind everyone to listen to their skin. So just because silicone is a cosmetically safe ingredient and most people tolerate it well doesn’t mean that you should ignore any adverse reactions due to using it if you get any. If you suspect silicone to be a problem for your skin, give your skin a break from it and see where things go. Listen to your body guys, it never lies!
I saw your video and bought Tonymoly chok chok essence. As someone who has oily acne prone skin and living in an area where its hot throughout the year, this one is definetly a HOLY GRAIL. THANKYOU❤🌴
I’ve always had pretty great skin. I’ve always been able to regulate my sebum production with a very minimal skin care routine. Lately though, my skin has become SUPER oily. I have small clusters of bumps on my forehead. No matter what I do, my skin produces sebum like crazy! And now it’s become irritated, and raw. I’ve been using CeraVe’s normal to oily skin cleanser and a 10% glycolic acid serum, and Differine’s moisturizer with sunscreen (spf 30). I’ve not seen any improvements yet.
I love Benton aloe propolis and add 1 drop of grapeseed oil, 1 drop of jojoba oil. That’s my best moisturizer.
Moreover, I need a video about how to care your lip. Please make it, Liah!
I'm using the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner as a summer moisturizer, it works perfectly! Thank you for recommending that product earlier this year :)

@Amara I love using Cerave daily moisturizer and it can double as a face and body moisturizer. Its sold at Target and most drugstores too so it's really easy to grab in a pinch.
The benton one is quite affordable tho
Cerave pm lotion simple affordable and so great ! I also like soon jung 2x barrier cream as a korean option its not expensive too!

For cooling foods, also adding squashes, avocados, asparagus, green beans, beets, zucchini, okra, as well as sweet ripe fruits (not sour or tangy) like mangoes, berries, ripe bananas, grapes. Coriander/cilantro and mint are great herbs for seasoning. Avoid the black pepper or anything too inflammatory like deep fried oily foods.

Liah Yoo thank you! I have been loving the Drunk Elephant protini moisturizer and The Dear Klairs midnight calming gel/cream. I also went back to and oldie but goodie the Cerave pm moisturizer. I want to try more Korean moisturizers as long as they don’t have essential oils in it since I’m oily, sensitive acne prone.
Belif aqua bomb has been my go to moisturizer during this hot and humid weather . . And gives a nice finish before foundations...just loved it

I lived in the tropics with a hot and humid weather all year long. I have a combination skin with oily T-zone and my pores tend get congested easily. The benton aloe propolis gel and the belif aqua bomb are two products in the past and I do love it. Thank you for this video. Cheers.

Do you recommend using niacinamide on very young skin? Or could you do a video on what ingredients to avoid when you're young, like in your early 20s? Because I often hear that certain things should only be used at a certain age (like from your late 20s on)
Niacinimide is great for young skin! Many teens and people that struggle with acne use it to sooth and gently fade dark spots and maintain and even complexion.

I also use aloe vera gel :)))) such a life-saver for this hot & humid weather in Vietnam. I use aloe vera gel from Innisfree because the one from Benton is hard to buy from Vietnam since the brand does not have any flagship store here.

Hi. Aloe Propolis Gel from Benton sadly stings a little and irritates due to citrus fruit extract. For those with very sensitive skin is not ideal, especially if your allergic to citrus in skincare. Shame, it meant to calm down, but it makes me red. I supose that is why it says on the package Slightly Acidic.

I’ve been using the COSRX advanced snail 92 all in one cream. I also use the Skinfood aloe vera soothing gel after being out all day or whenever my face feels flushed. I do love the Benton aloe propolis soothing gel more though!

You can wash your face with face wash
For me, if I'm not sweaty after I went home from school, I will wash my face before I go to bed. But if we did some activities in school that made me sweaty, I will wash my face after I came back from school. I just stick to washing my face 2x a day.
Hi! You should do whatever feels right for you. There isn’t a right or wrong answer to this. But if I were you, I wouldn’t need to do another night time routine!
I have this problem too when I comeback home I just wanna wash my face even if it's 2pm. So what I do is use a cleansing pad and wait til night time to do my night routine. But I'm not sure if this is good.

Im not sure about this but just wanna share with you, i bought sunscreen from Watsons that contain of coconut oil. How can i describe with you, the first week i apply it on my face, my skin feel so smooth and hydrated and the very important is feel more healthier skin.

My favorite moisturizers for summer are the aloe gel from isntree, iunik centella gel and PyungKang Yul acne cream and the aloe cream by aromatica. They quickly absorb into my super oily skin and feel super fresh in summer!
I use TonyMoly Chok Chok Watery Essence day and night before my serum, then the Propolis gel cream when I want to feel light. I use also MaryKay moisture gel cream this summer and it's so good for me.

Liah, can you talk more about 'extract' ingredients and how credible brands are when they say, for example, their product 'contains 90% green tea extract', like how much of that is the actual green tea and how much is just solvent? I hope my wording is not too confusing XD

Just in time! I was looking for a new moisturiser! However a lot of these have silicone and I know silicones isn't bad for the skin, my skin just can't tolerate it that well. It's a 50/50 bet for me. Either it breaks me out horribly or I can tolerate it. Maybe it's how the silicone is incorporated in the formula because Krave Beauty's TBS doesn't break me out at all. I'm just gonna be patient and wait for Krave Beauty's new moisturiser 😊😊

The ordinary niacinamide and zinc broke me out real bad . For the hot sticky summer I prefer emulsions during the day . I’m currently using Swanicoco Fermentation snail care emulsion . Was planning on purchasing the I’m from mugwort as a night cream. Thanks for the honest review Liah 🙂
