I saw their pain from a distance as they finished X Factor and being restricted to that cliche girl group image. That fake industry standard is what pushed me away from western music because it was suffocating, how much labels pushed this stupid image of exactly what the girls are talking about, drinks, drugs, falling in love and parties for literally every artist on the charts. I think as artists like Little Mix are gaining their control back and making THEIR music now... I really do see myself coming back to give english music a second chance.

And the label only promoted these songs, that's why these are huge hits, compared to their other songs with messages, like salute, woman's world, little me, power, change your life, strip, joan of arc etc... the girls didn't like woman like me at first, but then they made the music video in such a way that would convey some deep messages. They always had to fight for these type of songs and also had to fight for writing songs themselves (cz simon wouldn't wanna let them do that either, fearing they might deviate from the happy-go-lucky pop vibes" Also, about the "guilty pleasure" part, some people implied that little mix are like those typical pop group that people listen to for guilty pleasure, to which Jesy once replied " we aren't guilty pleasure, I think we are very bloody talented, actually".
