- In this video, Shadow's repair is complete (almost), so I take it out for a long overdue Car Camping overland trip with friends Robert and Craig.
But with my luck, we had some challenges along the way on this trip...

I would love to see a tutorial on that metal fake log! That is really cool!!! Great videos. Love the channel
That's the most informal looking ranger I've seen. He seemed chill though. Liking those Washington vibes. My dream to live there.
Glad to see you and Shadow back on the trail. I enjoy watching you take a full size vehicle out camping. You get tired of just all cheap stuff especially when you don't have a Jeep
I apologize my microphone apparently does not talk Southern. You get tired of all Jeep stories especially when you don't have a Jeep.
Forest ranger seemed like a nice guy
Yeah he was super informative and friendly. All the rangers we encountered that day were really cool, actually
He said beaver action…he he he.
That fire pit tho. Badass!
Nice to see Shadow back in action. Between Dusty and Shadow I'm looking forward to some great variety in your content, which is a nice plus for the fans :)
Thanks! Excited to share the content I have planned with these rigs 🤙
Nice to see Shadow up and running, and back on the trails!!!!
Yes Sir, glad to have it back out 🙌
That wood imitation insert was badass. That guy need to sell those. I would buy a few of them.
Me too!
Haha i know that ranger personally! 🤣 awesome video
Nice! He was very informative and super chill
申,你的剪辑和配乐真是太好了,是我这几年里遇到博主里配乐和剪辑最好的,真的是非常好,你是用心的博主,给赞,支持!
Great video. Thanks.
Awesome brother, great to see Shadow back out!!!
That trip was very much needed. It was great to just sit back and catch up with you and Robert after experiencing some epic views along the way up.
It was definitely great catching up. 🍻
I would kill for a modern jeep xj. A true compact off roader, so cool.
Nice work Edward, looked enjoyable despite the detours. That was quite the trail up through that dry creekbed. The truck is looking dialed!
Thanks Donald! I will admit though, that there were some parts I wish I brought a smaller rig. Hope you're having an awesome time in the Owyhee ! Looking forward to catching up soon
such a nice truck. Easy to see why It's won truck of the year multiple years now.
Super glad the truck is back together and getting to take YOU out
Good thing you locked the truck up can never be to sure 😂jk
That XJ though 😮
I have a Ram Rebel and have watched Edward's channel to try to muster some inspiration to start building it up, but honestly I think I'm gonna grab an XJ for trail duty. Good heavens an XJ sure looks at home on the trails! In my mind the XJ is the spiritual great granddaddy of the JLU Rubicon, and they sure got the formula right.
Good to see the truck back.
Okay the guy that built the fake wood needs a video on how or even better start making and selling them
I agree!
Never seen a forest ranger that chill looking haha
Glad the Ram Beast is back….looking good
👊😁 very good video
Looks like a very relaxed was had by all. The music matched the vibes. Thanks!
Thanks for watching 🙌
Looking good out there!
Thanks Rolando👊
Nice to see
Shadow back! I bet it feels good.
Oh it feels great! 🙏
Nicely done!
🙏👊
Shadow is awesome
Awesome footage as usual man! I definitely want to explore that area more. So far I've only been out there to climb St Helen's, other than a road trip with my dad when I was younger that I barely remember.
Nice video! If only I’d more time to catch up with what I’ve missed. But beatiful view and awesome trip!
Totally understand, my friend. I’m sure you’ve been quite busy with work and especially your little ones
Watch out for dusty conditions
Yay!
I need that custom wood for my pit!
I told Craig he should sell those things!
@@KrokemOutdoors Craig should indeed sell the fire ring flame insert! Looked great and seemed to disperse the flame well. Congrats on getting Shadow back on the trails.
I want to ask, have you changed the front and back gears? I have a 2023 Rebel 4x4, and I have an overland build on my truck. I get about 9 miles per gallon. It's because I couldn't regear the front and back ring and pinion. Currently, I have 3.92 gears, but I want to change them to 4.88. Do you know where to get those gears, or can you explain what I can do to improve my mileage?
i haven't regeared on the Ram, but it probably would help. I get about 11 miles to the gallon on a good day, so I know how you feel
In addition to your awesome channel, you could have quite the future in wrapping trucks, looks great after the accident.
I might give it some thought, thanks brother!
Edward I’m glad you have your rebel back!
Quick question how much Clearance you currently have ?
Thanks!
The lowest part of the truck is the skid plates under the fuel tank, which is about 11 inches from the ground
Shadow is back and looking good. 😛👍
Thanks Ernie! 🤙👊
👍
Awesome content. Inspiring!! Question what is average MPG on your truck considering all the weight?
looking at roughly about 11.5 mpg
On Cloud should sponsor this cause now I want a pair of them boots!
They should, lol. These boots are so comfortable man
Is leitner bed rack compatible with tonneau covers?
9:21, what shoes are those?
Do you have any alignment issues?
I've been trying to remember the kind of pants that you wear? Seen them in tons of videos.
Fjallraven Vidda pro pants
Hi Ed, does that wrap pinstripe like paint does when go thru the bushes? Thanks Will
Hey Will, it depends on the wrap, but they all still get pinstriping. The rugged vinyl I had previously did a better job of masking the pinstripes though
@@KrokemOutdoors Thanks, Edward
What's the story on that Tacoma shelter? Looking for car camp options for my FJ Cruiser. Got a ground tent currently and not really looking to lose my back seat. Also a 75 lb Boxer is involved, so that and budget. Getting him in and out of a RTT would be a not fun experience for either of us!
He (Craig) is utilizing an awning with the wall attachment and camps out in there. Seems like a great option for ground camping
As the owner of said Taco, the awning is the ARB 2000 Touring (6.5'x8'), and the shelter is the Ironman 4x4 awning room. There are several outfitter companies that provide awnings and screenrooms that we can mix and match to suit our needs.
What rear bumper is that?
Last I remember shadow was a tundra.......
Great vid as always Ed! What pants are you wearing btw? (the brownish with bits of black on the knees and backside area?)
Thanks! The pants are Fjallraven Vidda Pros
Thank you ! 🫡
Wrap brand/model? 0:17
Hey!!
👋
What headlights are those? How are they compared to the OEM?
They’re the morimotos , and I haven’t had a chance to drive around at night with them , but I like the design so far, especially the blacked out housing
@@KrokemOutdoors on alright, I suspected they were morimotos. I had a set on my F150 and loved them, they were by far better than the projector that came stock on the truck.
I use to run a Ram Classic before my Jeep as you can carry sooo much more gear. But as you learned they are harder to off road. P.S. Did you get a deck lid installed in your Jeep?
Not deck lid, but I did install a cargo rack in the rear 👍
I found that totally changed the storage situation in the Jeep; you forget how much space your losing above the deck line. I’ve also found, since I have the canvas top how much room there is between the roll bars and the top to stuff jackets/throw blankets and other gear for my grandkids to grab.
Didn't you wreck it?
Great cinematography as always. Just advise from someone who’s jumped off of trucks the past 30 years for various jobs. Stop jumping off trucks. Ankle and knee problems galore and I know it’s from jumping off trucks.
Brother when does the actual adventuring and exploring begin again?? These little 10 minute videos are basically nothing. Your content just seems to be lacking these days compared to the past. Still love the channel but...
Run into another tree? 😂 Tundra trader bought a dodge…. 😂
