    There are 2 mistakes in this video!!!
    1: I miscalculated how many crystals Jinx held. 1 exploded, 4 were in her suit case, and 1 is missing. It is unlikely the last one would be in the bag in the water.
    2: Even though Vi technically didn't know where to find Vander's message because Ekko only spied on the initial conversation, she HAD to be the one who alerted the enforcer to sacrifice herself because of the like "how did you find me" at the beginning of episode 3.

    Vander never intended to let Vi get taken. When he sees the bunny, Vi's bunny, that someone threw onto some pipes and had been stuck there for years, he realizes Vi must have gotten it down to give to Jinx to remember her by. In other words, Vi was saying goodbye/turning herself in.

    • @mbovb006
      @mbovb006 Před 2 lety +15

      That's a strange way of dismissing Vi's reaction. It's that classic 'cover your eyes and sing a song' so Powder won't see the awful things Vi is witnessing. And he's right. She was far less upset. Crying from the war and destruction. But the mothers death did not affect her as much as Vi. I noticed that too. Its also because shes so young. Shes too young to process whats really going on. At least thats what I first thought when I watched it the first time. Rewatching... I think its a hint to her mental state. Her attachment to Vi. I think even at that young of an age Vi calmed her down when her mental issues started showing.

    • @1manorgy
      @1manorgy Před 2 lety +4

      She doesn't start crying at the sight of her dead mom. She cries sympathetically after Vi starts doing it too. Her attachment issues also suggest not the best of early childhoods, even before the opening, so I think he might be right about what he was implying. She also doesn't really show any signs of true empathy towards anyone but Vi and later Silco.

  • @yngvildrthevoracious
    @yngvildrthevoracious Před 2 lety +1120

    I believe Powder doesn't cry because she's too small. Children process grief differently because they don't quite understand death. She's affected more by Vi's tears than by the rest. One of my friends tragically lost her husband and father of her two children, one of them a three year old toddler and she would actually alternate between consoling everyone and crying asking for her dad who was, well, absent.

    Even though I have watched all of season 1 prior to watching this, I feel like jinx hair should be considered. When jinx was young, she had one braid. As she got older, she has split twin braids. I think this is a representation of her splitting between powder, and her newer self, jinx. Far stretch probably, hair changes in cinematic always had a reference. Keep in mind, vi never changed her hairstyle. It was always short and partly shaved.

      Later in episode 6, the scene where Caitlyn was healing Vi's stab wounds with shimmer, Vi sees a hallucination of their late mother, who had two braids. I do think that two braids very much resemble Jinx's split personality too. Also, Jinx never cuts her hair so it just grows. In modern culture and some older beliefs hair is associated with past energies and memories, so cutting or dyeing it gets rid of those, like a new start. Jinx is very much stuck in her past traumas.
      Here's some other hair references from history:
      Samurais cut their hair only if they brought dishonour. Indians cut the top of the head of their victims to bring honour home. Indians had long hair because of their ties to nature and supernatural energies. And tale of Samson from the Bible: he lost his powers when his hair was cut. Also in Game of Thrones, Daenerys added a braid for every war victory (honoring late husband's Dothraki beliefs).

    At the end,
    Silco says "Hello little girl, where is your sister ?"
    Jinx jump on him and he is shocked by her reaction.
    Jinx then answers "She left me"
    At this instant, Silco expression changes radically, he stops to be shocked and he looks at vander with a contemplative and reminiscent air.
    Then Jinx adds "She is not my sister anymore."
    And at this instant, Silco expression changes again, he as faint movement of eyes and head, like these words go right into him, and then take a sad face and look at jinx like he "realized" something. That's when he hug her and reassure her.
    I think like you said, it's a parallel of what happened between Silco and Vander in the past, Silco was devastated and shocked at the time by his Brother treason, and Jinx is just the same before his eyes, about her own sister.
    Could be an additionnal hint about some brotherly link between Vanders and Silco.

    There is a huge mistake in this video. Vander 100% didn't know about Vi turning herself in.
    1. Ekko told Vi everything. So Vi knew about the message that would reach the enforcers.
    2. The Series makes a specific scene to show us, that Vander is putting that Message away. So he doesn't have it and Vi could take it.
    3. In the talk on the Bridge, Vander says after Vi's question, what they should do, that he doesn't know but he figures it out. You can see Vi her face changes, that she knows, she has to do something.
    4. Vanders Face has clearly a point of realisation, what Vi is doing after looking at the puppet.
    Also quick Edit. Vi is even saying "How did you find me?". If Vander would know about it, Vi would not say that.

      Yes! I remember this as well. It was from a Riot red post many years back on the now-deleted LoL forum boards. There were a actually a lot of old Riot posts on the LoL forums and Reddit (now deleted for obvious reasons) about Jinx and Vi that alluded to the direction they were going with their origin story.
      I believe one of them was also that each of Jinx's guns have their own personality which is an aspect of her psyche that's now detached from her in her psychotic state. Fishbones is supposed to be her moral conscience, hence her in-game lines. Pow-Pow does not like to talk, and my speculation now that we know her previous alias is Powder, it could be its meant to represent her previously closed-off personality is now also detached for her. I cannot remember what ZAP was unfortunately. Maybe someone else knows?
      They also said that Ekko used to hang with jinx/vi's gang, but was much younger so wasn't actually apart of it, and he has his own gang after he gets older, and they stuck to that too. There were small hints along the way!

If theories or bread crumb trails are anything to go by, it would stand to reason that although Jinx does endure a massive heap of traumas, she retains some of her sanity growing up (revisiting the playground, scoring under Vi's name, etc.) but will likely be heavily impacted by the drug and need for validation or to fight back for her lost family.

I think that Jinx was just too young to understand/digest the situation and couldn't trully empathize with her sister yet. Some kids don't really understand what's going around them yet, like the heaviness of war, or their loved one passing away.

    "How does a pipe function as a telescope?" Well well well Necrit, your League lore is impeccable, but your IRL lore needs some work.
    It's called the Pinhole effect and while a pipe hole is a fair bit larger than a pinhole, the overall concept stays the same. By narrowing the field of view, the image you see becomes sharper because only light that is not focused directly into the opening is blocked. Furthermore, by using a tube-like object, the user can focus more of their attention on perceiving a single point, which will increase clarity as well. Granted, the crazy magnification effects shown in the show are an exaggeration - however, a pipe can certainly, in theory, serve as a makeshift optical enhancer.

    Also the cupcakes wasn’t on jayce’s balcony, it was on a different. Ppl already pointed the bag mistake.
    Different interpretation: Vander and Vi situation. I interpreted that as him knowing she was going to give herself up only because Jinx had Vi’s old bunny and showed up looking miserable. I don’t think he knew before hand.
    Different interpretation: I don’t think he hinted at Silco being the leader, but rather Silco having the same relationship to him as Vi’s crew to her. “You say start a fire and they show up with oil.” The need to impress or perform up to Vi’s/Vander standards caused reckless or drastic behavior (maybe).
    Additional interpretation: Jayce’s machine, while they their floating, notice the thing he pushed through, when it passed through the field speed up to get to Viktor. Think it hints at the early stages of the acceleration gate.
    Also I think the owl mask hints at who’s riding the hoverboards later… I will not say who i think it is.
